Divan Mini-hotel

We generally love Divan Istanbul hotel , and we were there for two times (2022,2025).
The location is very close to Taksim Square and also to lots of restaurants and shops.
1- Connected Rooms: the doors in between the rooms are fine and also the space in each room.
2-The room with the master bed is slightly better than the kids room (two sided bed table is important to us and we only got one side). And also their shower door wasn't the best.
3- I feel that 1 week there is too much for example; they didn't refill the napkins for us.
4- being night owls is a problem because we didn't get lots of service from housekeepers.
5- the room service is very good and also their resturants and the coffeshop.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone looking for 5 star hotel that is safe and has a nice staff.

We chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel like guests at a hotel—we felt like we were being welcomed by family.

A special thanks to Nilgun Bezik, who was one of the most loving, professional, and caring hosts we’ve ever met. Her warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable.

The staff were extremely friendly and the facilities are amazing. The gym is really well equipped and the pool is very nice and relaxing, along with the sauna. The selection at breakfast is great, with something for everyone. The air conditioning in the rooms was perfect and the rooms overall are nice and spacious.

Wonderful stay

I have been visiting the restaurant of this hotel for business meetings. Fantastic ambience and gastronomic options. The lentil soup and the power salad (avocado etc.) are very delicious. High quality-service. The only downside is that some staff members have trouble communicating in English. Overall, a lovely setting -- highly recommended.

The location was very good. We stayed 7 nights on a family vacation. The room was nice but on the very noisy side of the hotel. For the first 4 nights they promised us to change the room the next day, but they never did. We finally gave up! The breakfast was very good on the first 4 days but suddenly the attitude of the waiters changed: on the fifth day in a five star hotel, they told us that from today on, if you want "latte macchiato" or any other drink other than plane coffee or dark turkish tea you have to pay extra. Even in a 3 star hotel with breakfast included, you can get milk coffee. The only reason we stayed there, was because one of the waiters (Mehmet) was very nice: he served us coffee with milk for the next of our stay! We appreciate his professional attitude!

Second time there and, just like the first time everything was perfect, from the reception, the welcome at the frontdesk, the breakfast in the morning. The room itself (bed, bathroom) everything is done to make you feel at home !

Bice comfortable hotel

My stay at The Divan Istanbul left me with mixed feelings. While the hotel markets itself as a five-star establishment, my experience suggested it might be better aligned with four-star standards. The service, which is a critical aspect of any top-tier hotel experience, unfortunately fell short of expectations.
Upon arrival, I encountered a passive-aggressive attitude from the reception staff that was off-putting. Instead of the warm welcome one would expect, the receptionists seemed more interested in talking over guests than engaging with them. This tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere that lingered throughout my stay. Additionally, the staff's grasp of English varied significantly, leading to frequent misunderstandings when addressing simple requests. This lack of clear communication is not what one hopes for at a hotel that purports to offer five-star service.
These service issues overshadowed any of the hotel’s potential strengths. A true five-star experience is defined by top-notch service that complements the hotel's physical attributes, and in this case, it was lacking. While the hotel may offer nice amenities and a polished appearance, without exceptional service to match, it cannot truly claim to be a five-star venue.
In conclusion, while The Divan Istanbul has the framework of a high-end hotel, its service shortcomings prevent it from fully realizing that potential. For those looking for a reliable four-star experience in Istanbul, it may fit the bill, but if exemplary service is a priority for your stay, it may be wise to consider other options.
