We stayed last week at Grand Hyatt to start our first part of the Turkey trip in Istanbul. Front desk, bellhop, room attendants, restaurant attendants, pool service folks, ALL IN ALL - made sure our stay was pleasant and took care of our needs every step of the way! Fantastic breakfast, no doubt about it… however eating the same or similar items daily for 4 days in a row could be a bit boring for anyone. I recommend to not take the breakfast package right up front for your entire stay and take it as the days go by, unless you are staying for a day or two OR you got a great deal, then get it!
Beautiful and spacious outdoor pool area, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Kids ABSOLUTELY loved it (every hot summer afternoon of our stay for a quick dip to refresh in between our morning and evening ventures- you will want to for sure in hotter months). I would book this hotel in a heartbeat for our next time around in Istanbul.

This is a well located hotel with a kid friendly pool. The buffet breakfast great, and staff are welcoming. The gym is well set out with everything you need.

I had a fantastic stay at Grand Hyatt Istanbul. Although not in the Old Town, it was easy to access public transportation from the location. The front desk staff were sublime, and helped me in ways above and beyond including fronting me some liras when my debit card had a problem. The concierge spent quite a bit of time encouraging and then instructing me on the use of the tram. The room itself was wonderful, very clean and loved the turndown service. Comfortable mattress and linens. The Club breakfast and happy hour saved me lots of time and money and was delicious. Try the Kaysek and honeycomb! Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel has a perfect location, not in the middle of the craziness but just a few minutes walking to Taksim Square and its surroundings. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and kind, specially the security/ entrance people. We had a Turkish bath that was 20/10, highly recommended!! However, I do believe the hotel as a 5 star one, really needs improvement in their indoor facilities, it needs to renovate, even though they want to keep the “classic style”, they can do that while acquiring new furniture. The existing ones are so old!! The rooms hall had a bad smell like a dirty mop, so maybe they don’t do maintenance to the ac? Maybe the carpets are not clean? Bottom line is it really needs to improve.

Great location, 5 minutes from taksim square and very friendly staff. They upgraded us to a better room as we were travelling as a family, we got the apartment.

The breakfast spread was fantastic and with loads of options as well

Our rooms had a balcony with a view of the pool.

The poolside cafe is very relaxed abs serves good pizzas and short eats, the nachos can be avoided though it was very average.

I stayed for 5 nights while having hair transplant , the hotel staff was excellent . breakfast was also great and friendly staff,

had dinner 2 times at hotel was also high quality , the baby chicken and chicken shish highly recommended ,,

house keeping kind and helpful and kept room spotless

location good can walk easy to taksim

we had sea view room was nice paid little extra maybe worth it for first trip in Istanbul

I'm back in Istanbul in march and will stay again!

I haven't been a guest of this hotel so far but used to be here few times. I like the beautiful yellow marble floor in the lobby. Recently my friends and I had a dinner in the hotel restaurant. The all dishes were amazing! We had Grilled Prawns, Grilled Salmon, Green Salad, Fried Squid and etc. Everything was perfect. The tea and the ice-cream were very good as well. So my question is - why can't I meet such a good chef like this anywhere outside the hotel here in Istanbul? Does anyone feel the same as me? By the way, the waiters in the restaurant are very professional and absolutely comply with five-stare standards.

Hello, it is a great hotel, in terms of location, it is very close to Taksim Square and the subway, and at the same time, it is quiet.
the breakfast is excellent, the room is clean, and the staff are very nice. The only problem was the lack of slippers in the bathroom, the hair dryer kept turning off. that when we wrote for the room service bring us a separate hair dryer ,tnx to them. the toilet water pressure isn't controllable. Overall, it will be one of my first choices for future trips.

Room was clean and nice, Location is good. The only issue I felt reception guy tried selling us another upgraded room by saying the room we had booked wasn't instantly available and we would have to wait for 2 hours, even tho we were checking in at 2 PM only. he said we could pay 70 euros per day more and get the room instantly at higher floor, which doesn't make sense. however, we chose to wait and when my husband went to talk to his manager to give us room for the time being and then we could shift to our room, we got to know our room was always available & we handed over the keys instantly. Kind of a scam.
