A wonderful experience and what I expect from a 5 star hotel. The only down side I found was the location- it is close to public transit and has plenty of taxis, but actual walkability is low (not really the hotel’s fault) but if you’re staying in a 5 star hotel you probably aren’t planning to walk all over Istanbul. Of note- the website lists a shuttle from the airport but this is not exactly accurate (at least from a US perspective), from the airport you travel via public bus to the square a block away, I don’t remember the exact price but I believe it was less than 200 TRY.

Everything is perfectly luxurious, the rooms the alleys and staff!
I recommend for a perfectly restful vacation or business trip.
Breakfast could be improved with some local sweets and better choice cold drinks..

It’s not good to advertise the brunch with one price, but coming there and getting the bill 30% more without opportunity to have menu without alcohol, even it was advertised with different options.
Not to comment how should be embarrassing to serve to your guest in 5* the most disgusting and cheapest wine that taste like urin. Sushi was ok, and waiters were nice. The rest so low quality for the money you pay.

Stepping into elegance. The lobby's grandeur is unmatched with its stunning chandelier, intricate geometric patterns, and luxurious marble flooring. A perfect blend of classic and contemporary design. Great service. Spacious room. Big variety of food for breakfast. Highly recommended.

We stayed last week at Grand Hyatt to start our first part of the Turkey trip in Istanbul. Front desk, bellhop, room attendants, restaurant attendants, pool service folks, ALL IN ALL - made sure our stay was pleasant and took care of our needs every step of the way! Fantastic breakfast, no doubt about it… however eating the same or similar items daily for 4 days in a row could be a bit boring for anyone. I recommend to not take the breakfast package right up front for your entire stay and take it as the days go by, unless you are staying for a day or two OR you got a great deal, then get it!

Kids ABSOLUTELY loved it (every hot summer afternoon of our stay for a quick dip to refresh in between our morning and evening ventures- you will want to for sure in hotter months). This is a well located hotel with a kid friendly pool. The buffet breakfast great, and staff are welcoming. The gym is well set out with everything you need.

I had a fantastic stay at Grand Hyatt Istanbul. Although not in the Old Town, it was easy to access public transportation from the location. The front desk staff were sublime, and helped me in ways above and beyond including fronting me some liras when my debit card had a problem. The concierge spent quite a bit of time encouraging and then instructing me on the use of the tram. The room itself was wonderful, very clean and loved the turndown service. Comfortable mattress and linens. The Club breakfast and happy hour saved me lots of time and money and was delicious. Try the Kaysek and honeycomb! Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel has a perfect location, not in the middle of the craziness but just a few minutes walking to Taksim Square and its surroundings. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and kind, specially the security/ entrance people. We had a Turkish bath that was 20/10, highly recommended!! However, I do believe the hotel as a 5 star one, really needs improvement in their indoor facilities, it needs to renovate, even though they want to keep the “classic style”, they can do that while acquiring new furniture. The existing ones are so old!! The rooms hall had a bad smell like a dirty mop, so maybe they don’t do maintenance to the ac? Maybe the carpets are not clean? Bottom line is it really needs to improve.

Great location, 5 minutes from taksim square and very friendly staff. They upgraded us to a better room as we were travelling as a family, we got the apartment.
The breakfast spread was fantastic and with loads of options as well
Our rooms had a balcony with a view of the pool.
The poolside cafe is very relaxed abs serves good pizzas and short eats, the nachos can be avoided though it was very average.
