AG Hotel

I am sad that I have to give bad review but there were so many issues with our first room that I can’t give anything better than 2*. The biggest problem was the room temperature. They couldn’t do anything. Max temperature was 20C which is not very comfortable. Next day someone set the temperature to 16C so when we came back it was horrible.

Extra star is for nice staff but the hotel itself should be much cheaper. I payed 1000 AED for two nights with breakfast and dinner and both very limited and served. For breakfast you can choose one glass of juice OR one coffee. WTF?! And we have to call every day because they were late. We had to eat in the room. Don’t know why but not very comfortable. Dinner was not very good at all for our taste. Very spicy even when we asked for non or less spicy. Drinks again limited to just a can of soda. You have to pay even for water. No water at all also for breakfast. Sad and weird. The room had broken bathtube and problems with hot water. Disappointing. There was a huge noise from a window fan and also from the busy main street.

Next day we had to change our plans so when we came back for our luggage I asked the receptionist with the nice suit (don’t know the name sorry) if we can stay one more night and if we can get a discount for all the inconvenience an problems but no way. They didn’t care or couldn’t do anything about it I don’t know. So I was changed even more than I payed at the first time via Booking so it was 600 AED per night but now just with the limited breakfast! LOL. But we were tired for going elsewhere in the evening so I had to pay. The room was for handicapped so not good at all but the temperature was finally ok. The noise wasn’t so bad because there was no weird window fan and it was placed on the other side of hotel.

The indoor pool was always locked so I don’t know if it’s cold or warm or clean at all. Seems like no one goes there. The gym is a big joke. Tiny room with just a very basic equipment.

So for me very bad experience for large sum of money and for the same money I can usually stay in a 5* hotels even in Abu Dhabi or Dubai or any other country. Not joking. It wasn’t my first trip to UAE. And the last thing is that there is no one using booking messages or WhatsApp. Please do something about that.

I had a terrible experience at AG Hotel on Friday, 20 September 2024. I visited as a guest with a friend and presented a PDF version of my Emirates ID and passport, as I had forgotten my wallet at home. The receptionist, Subhash, and the security guard, an Arab man, were extremely unprofessional. Instead of helping me, they made everything unnecessarily complicated, even though I had valid identification. They were aggressive and rude throughout the process, making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The hotel’s staff showed no flexibility or professionalism, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

My friend was recently stayed at this hotel,and I went to visit him my experience was quite disappointing. The staff, particularly the night shift male receptionist, was incredibly rude. The security team was no better, displaying the same unfriendly attitude.

If you're expecting guests during your stay, be prepared for unprofessional treatment. They do not handle guests kindly and make the whole process difficult, even if you're the host. It felt more like they were doing me a favor rather than providing a service.

I would not recommend staying here if you value good customer service and a welcoming environment.
