The rooms are generally on the smaller side and quite standard, but the Superior King Room was much better — more comfortable, nicer in terms of space, and overall a more enjoyable room to stay in.
In terms of location, the hotel has good accessibility, with easy access to places like Wafi Mall, whether by taxi or ride-hailing apps. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel more pleasant.
Overall, it’s not a high-end luxury hotel, but it’s a solid and comfortable option for a smooth, hassle-free stay in Dubai.
I got to check out their new waterpark (just a 2-minute walk from the pools), and it was a blast! Great slides, awesome staff, and surprisingly good food.
Meals were delicious across the board—breakfast, lunch, and dinner all hit the spot.
Big thanks to the team and management for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend it, and I’m already looking forward to coming back next year!
We had a fantastic 2-night stay with my husband. We were highly impressed by the amazing hotel structure, the superb attention to detail, and the fact that our room was enormous. The food selection was also plentiful.
What truly makes this hotel a gem is the staff. This was perfectly highlighted at breakfast when Belayat surprised us with a specially arranged plate as a genuine gesture of wishing us safe travels—a level of care that is rare to find. Houskeping supervisor and staff are very professional and friendly forgot the name (Mohamed, Imran) not sure..
The pool initially impressed us, especially the children’s pool with a safe height for kids. Unfortunately, our 2-year-old fell ill the very next morning due to unhygienic pool. This led to a week of recovery and meant we couldn’t truly enjoy the facilities or hotel experience.
Also, the property being large, they could have placed sufficient boards that leads to the swimming pool and restaurants accurately. We noticed other guests feeling the same frustration to get around.
Additionally, breakfast was affected by ongoing renovations. Guests were redirected to two different restaurants; we were placed in the second one, where the food options were quite limited. Only later did we discover that the other restaurant had a wider variety, but none of the staff explained this at the time. This added to our disappointment to feel two nights were wasted mostly inside the room without enjoying any benefits.
On the positive side, the green pathways with restaurants were beautifully maintained, and access to a pharamacy inside the hotel. In-Room dinning, particularly the pastas were amazing but more varieties would be appreciated. The peacocks and ducks outside also added a lovely touch to the property. We highly recommend this hotel for it's long history of luxury and this review was a rare situation that occurred to us that could be handled better.
The Grand Hyatt Dubai truly provides a 5-star resort experience right in the heart of the city. My recent stay here was absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough, whether you're visiting for business or leisure.
Ambiance & Facilities: Stepping into the lobby is breathtaking—the famous tropical indoor garden with streams and lush greenery is a serene oasis, a unique touch in Dubai. The entire property, including the massive outdoor pool area (which is perfect for relaxing), feels perfectly maintained and incredibly clean. Our room was spacious, quiet, and featured a spectacular view of either the skyline or the creek.
Service & Hospitality: This is where the Grand Hyatt truly shines. The staff is consistently attentive, friendly, and professional, from the check-in desk to the team in the restaurants. They genuinely go above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay.
Food: We enjoyed dining at one of the many on-site restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a huge variety of international and local options—a great way to start the day!
The combination of the immaculate resort facilities, the warm staff, and the tranquil ambiance makes this hotel a standout choice in Dubai. It offers luxury without feeling stuffy, making it perfect for families and couples alike.

1. Check-in:
I booked a room for 4 days, since I had a night flight afterwards. I asked if there was a waiting room, but was told there wasn’t, and that after check-out I would no longer be allowed to use any of the hotel’s facilities. I then asked if I could extend my stay for one more day, but the staff told me the hotel was fully booked. Okay.
Out of curiosity, I checked Booking.com — and surprise, surprise, there were plenty of available rooms for my dates. I booked another one through Booking, and for a cheaper price than my original room. On the very same day, the hotel called me right away, telling me that “my room was suddenly available” and asked if I wanted to stay there 😂. Out of principle, I refused.
2. Payments:
In every good hotel, when you buy something, eat at the restaurant, or take something from the minibar, you can simply charge it to your room and settle everything at check-out. But not here 😂.
For every single bill, they would insistently call me and demand that I come and pay immediately. I find this completely inappropriate. Guests come either to rest or to work. In my case, I was on a business trip, and the last thing I wanted was to run to reception every time I had a juice or a Red Bull. Sometimes they even came up to me 😁. So be sure that if you drink a juice in this hotel, they will find you — even if you’re sitting on the toilet, since there’s a phone there too.
3. Minibar:
On the third day of my stay, I went to the spa — by the way, I highly recommend it, the spa and its staff are truly wonderful. My gratitude goes to them.
After the spa, I returned to my room and wanted to grab a juice from the minibar — and voilà, it was completely empty 😂. I guess they got tired of running around with the card machine to make me pay.
I called reception and asked why my minibar was empty. The answer was: “You can order juice from room service.” Sure, I can. But I still asked why my minibar was emptied. The answer was the same 😂.
If you’re fine with this kind of service, then by all means go ahead and book this hotel 😂.
P.S. As I mentioned earlier, I usually leave only good reviews 😁. I did have a large two-room suite, which was really cozy, beautiful, and most importantly — clean. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. But unfortunately, the interior is the only real advantage of this hotel.

Amenities in the hotel are very good. We had use of the gym,and saunas and indoor pool. again we cannot fault the staff in any way, very pleasant and helpful.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future. There is so much more I could write about this hotel and the staff. The staff made our stay a very pleasant experience.
Rooms are great size, buffet has good selection and staff helpful. Checkin and checkout can just be a bit slow during designated times. They should have dedicated checkin/checkout counters and should be able to make their process smoother.
Otherwise all good! Definitely coming back soon for the water park!
