Reviews
I had to go out to the balcony and lean and turn to left to be able to see the fountain.
They managed to change the room with a nice view of the fountain, but only after I've issued multiple complaints.
(At first they insisted that the room was supposed to be partial fountain view, but we didn't even have partial view. not even a glipmse of the fountain.)
And I stayed in this hotel 2 months ago, and they still haven't canceled my deposit fee.
I've tried calling and emailing but haven't heard back.
I looked up on the internet and found similar reviews addressing the same deposit issue.
I am a frequent traveller and have numerous experience of staying at many hotels around the world, but I've never seen a five-star hotel with such an issue.
I liked the facilities and the location, but I am not going to stay at Palace Downtown again.
The staffs are nice the location is unbearable and the especially Arabian tradition vibes is one of a kind
We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had the chance to enjoy two breakfasts at the beautiful restaurant by the poolside. You can see the effort put in by the management. Beyond the delicious breakfast, they even rearranged the food presentation, which surprised me. In addition to the tasty food, it also provided a feast for the eyes.
Overall, the stay is amazing 😻 we have a very wonderful stay
The rooms offered captivating views and were meticulously maintained, reflecting attention to detail in every corner. The spacious and well-equipped bathrooms further added to the overall comfort.
As for the food and beverages, they were satisfactory and enjoyable, though there is certainly room for further enhancement.
With the utmost respect and gratitude,
Mozhda
What’s worse is their complete lack of empathy for unforeseen circumstances. I had a family health emergency that made it impossible for me to fly, and despite reaching out to explain my situation, the hotel refused to offer any consideration or accommodations.
While the hotel itself might be great, their customer policies leave much to be desired. Emergencies happen, and a good business practice is to recognize and accommodate genuine, unforeseen situations. Sadly, this hotel's rigid stance prioritizes profits over customer experience.
If you’re planning a trip and value peace of mind, I’d recommend looking elsewhere—at least to a place with fair and compassionate policies.
EDIT: The hotel has responded to say that someone will reach out to me. It has been a month and no one has reached out or contacted me regarding my situation. Seems like the hotel just puts that message on any bad reviews to pretend to take accountability. But, in fact, they don't take any accountability.
While we encountered an issue with the quality of our room, we truly appreciated management’s effort to address our concerns, even though it came a bit late. However, the professionalism of the staff far exceeded our expectations. Their dedication and service easily outshined any minor inconveniences related to the room or view, making our stay truly remarkable. The staff’s impeccable service was the highlight of our visit and will be the lasting memory of our time at The Palace Downtown.
