- outdoor karaoke night after 23:00 on full volume to disturbe all hotel guests, are you serious?!
- beach bar "pcbeach" which BLASTS music (mostly manele) all night long even though they have zero clients!
- the hotel has extremly poor noise isolation on the outdoor windows and doors (even malfunctions), don't expect to have any kind of decent sleep with a constant 50 decibel noise level indoor.
Check in was fast and easy but we were not informed about the service and what was included in the “ultra all inclusive “.
The food was quite ok, specially the crepes that they had just the first mornings of our stay, the salad variety was big, the meat a little overcooked, but we always found an option.
When we realised that they had some specialty restaurants we went in to one as it was empty but the lady at the reception said thawed had to book and that the service is from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, next day we left early so the 3. we waited until 10:00 before leaving for out tour. They asked us to wait until 10:30, we said that we couldn’t wait longer as we have been waiting already. The front desk lady said all the restaurants are fully booked, and we asked her how can that be that we got no information at check in about it… and then she said, ok, I can offer the Bulgarian restaurant, we are not big fans so we said no thanks, we want to reserve the Italian and the Asian restaurant. She said that it wasn’t possible… after telling her that they should give every guest the information and chance, she suddenly found space in both restaurants…… we don’t understand why do they do that? The restaurants were not full at all!!!!. The Italian’s restaurant staff were very kind and the food was not top but it was nice and a very welcomed change to the buffet. The Asian restaurant was the same the fried ice cream, the miso soup and the duck were very good, and again there were plenty of available spaces. (Do not forget to tip)
The location might be loud during the summertime, but the beach near the hotel is beautiful.
L.E. 2 nights ago, at 1:30 am, our ceiling from air conditioner felt on the floor. I went to reception and the guy over there sent a cleaning guy. All night we couldn't sleep because of air conditioner created condensation that dropped on floor all night.
We received no excuses, it was all normal to happen.
"-" at the bathroom the water pressure was very low on the upper floors, în certain intervals the hot water was missing, there were bathtubs instead of showers (and not a modern ones), the towels smelled bad, the refrigerator did not cool well, a part of fake ceiling fell in the middle of the night because of air conditional failure(the noise of fall scared us a lot), even if at night the temperature outside was ok, there was no chance to sleep with the terrace door open because of the big noise from bars/disco nearby, we paid for an ultra all inclusive package (the reservation was made by booking) but we didn't have included free parking and sunbeds on the beach; the waiting time at the elevators was very long, very poor Wi-Fi connection
In brief, if something prevents you from making your trip to the hotel, and you cancel your stay, you should not expect to receive your refund for up to 30 days, per their customer service department.
Apparently, a supervisor has to review all pending refunds, even those that clearly fall within the “free cancellation” guidelines. So, while many reputable hotels and hotel booking sites offer almost instantaneous refunds (less than 5 business days, almost always), Grifid’s procedures cause for an unprecedented delay, and if you try to call their customer service center, you will most likely be told to leave a voice message after waiting on hold for 3 minutes. I called 7 times before being able to speak to a live representative. Not to mention, they use the same phone number for booking or other related questions, for ALL hotels, it seems.
So, while my summer holiday was unfortunately deterred, I will be sure to NOT EVER use the Grifid Hotels website or phone center to book my stay. It’s much more reliable to use a site like Booking or Expedia, so you don’t have up to thousands of dollars essentially held hostage while the supervisors review your case.
The beach was clean and nice. Deserves a try.
