I stayed at Hotel California and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel has an excellent location, perfectly situated between restaurants and public transport stations. It is also within walking distance of the American, Chinese, and Moroccan embassies, which was very convenient for me.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, well organized, and comfortable, with hot water, a TV, and plenty of clean towels. There is parking available nearby, which is charged additionally.
I would especially like to express my appreciation to the morning host, who kindly helped me by printing the final document that completed my Morocco visa application. A big thank you as well to the evening host from the previous day for taking care of my room preference and making sure I was comfortable.
Overall, it truly felt like a home away from home. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Situated in a quiet residential area (Lozenets), parking space on a nearby parking lot (5 mins). Friendly and helpful receptionist.
Room was a bit cramped because of the placement of a useless fridge (making use of the couch impossible).
On a brighter note, the bed was perfect and because of the quiet location, good sleep is guaranteed. No breakfast option. English spoken.

We booked a studio for 1 night. The bathroom was really dirty - the bathtub was not cleaned and the jets and drain have probably never been deep cleaned, the toilet had poop stains - overall disgusting. The furniture was old and the chairs had dark stains. For 1 night it was okay-ish for an okay price but if I had to stay more and needed to use the shower, I don't know what I would've done.

Very pleasant stay at Hotel California. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was cozy and quiet, and the location is convenient. Overall, a great experience – I would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

Nice and cozy hotel in a quiet area. It’s a bit dated, but everything works perfectly and the rooms are spotless. Excellent service and a great price for what you get!

Pleasant and helpful Reception staff. Close to Metro that gives you access to all of Sofia. Comfortable bed and will return in the future.
