Reviews
Lovely hotel, great location and beautiful room.
Did really felt the value I was receiving for the money I paid: although the impressive Reception many areas were not really up to the higher standard for the price.
The corridor to the room was smelly and in the room the light set up really not comfortable. Bert too soft for my taste but this is my taste.
The breakfast buffet was very good and the service great.
Disappointing also the sauna was off during the day: I would had appreciated the possibility to book it and get it turned on within a reasonable time.
The location is not the best for winter.
The restaurant was amazing for dinner and breakfast. The staff in the hotel was always helpful and polite.
The saunas and swimming pool were also on par excellence with all of the details thought out including water.
I wish the hotel lobby bar was open a little later and that it was a little cozier. It felt so open and uninviting which is probably why it was not too busy. It is important to have several places to escape to in a hotel and not just the rooftop restaurant even though it is amazing.
We were upgraded with a balcony view but was surprised that we had a stowaway bed and not two proper beds. This made everything a little cramped in the room and was almost ready to ask for a „downgrade“ so we were not on top of each other. Probably not the right decision for a mid tier Bonvoy member upgrade. The room was otherwise wonderful.
great for a nice sleep as lovely bed
Service from all staff at check in and room service was excellent. Beyond expectation for a European hotel 😀
Rooms and bathroom are new and well maintained so that was great. Trouser press an added bonus.
However, really dark room. No ceiling lights in the room makes it a challenge to avoid a depressive feeling as the more aesthetic lighting and lamps just can’t make up for lack of light.
Brightest part of the room is the toilet and if u are unlucky (even as Gold elite!) to get one of the corner room with only a small window in a corner of the wall, good luck feeling good in this room after a day at the office.
Food in restaurant and room service is very over priced even for a Le Meridien.
“Free” coffee voucher at the bar worthless as coffee machine counter only opens after 10am vs other Le Meridiens where this was a great way to grab a coffee on way to work.
Air con controls are the most confusing I have seen. All it said was +3,0,-3 so no idea how to make room cooler or warmer !
shower designed with no curtain / door so inevitably the main area has to get wet as well !
