Zero service in the hotel. No one answers the phone the whole stay, impossible to call reception, house keeping, room service, concierge, anyone at all. When you go all the way downstairs to ask your question, they have no answer for you. Reception is poorly trained.
Spa massages are low quality, and the spa has a medical facility feel with bright lights and no smiles from staff at all.
On top of it, there was a fire alarm on our floor, zero security or staff personnel for 10 minutes to explain what was going on, finally they arrived and had to run down 7 flights of stairs with suitcases. All that to arrive at the 8th floor reception to total calm and no clue about the alarm at reception and didn’t care at all. They only evacuated 3 floors in an 18 floor building. Turned out to be a false alarm. Through it all, not one apology and a mean attitude from the duty manager who only showed up at the end. If there was a real fire everyone would have died. Insane

Amazing room and stunning views, but service was.... lacking.
We had booked a gorgeous suite but when we arrived the people at the front desk were cold and unfriendly. We had dropped our bags off at 10:30am and returned at 3:30pm to see if our room was ready to which we were greeted with "no, its not 4 yet". I was there for work so I requested that I get one of my bags back so I could work while I waited. I was then told to follow one of the bellboys downstairs into the storage area to retrieve my bag. I was then told that I wasn't checked in yet so I could not use the wifi at the hotel yet... Again, these wouldn't raise any flags normally but this is a 5 star establishment where you are paying $1000+ for 2 nights. The least you could do would be to apologize for the inconvenience, and offer assitance on how to make sure we were taken care of while we waited. We are Marriott gold elite members and amex platinum card holders and we were treated like we were inconveniencing them for thinking the room could be ready before 4pm.
The issues did not stop there, we had requested a rollaway bed on the reservation and I reminded them again at check-in that we needed one. To my surprise, there was no extra bed when we arrived at the room. At 5:30pm I called the front desk, and they said it was on its way. By 7:30pm I called a second time and they said it was still on its way and by 8:00pm it finally arrived! The next day we came back to our room that had been cleaned nicely, but all the dirty towels and bathrobs were gone and not replaced! Had to call the front desk for a 3rd time to request our bathrobes and towels be replaced so we could shower/bathe. Again, these are normally issues you would expect out of your local bed and breakfast not a 5 star hotel! How do you forget to replace all the robes and towels? None of the soaps bottles were replaced either so we had no soap our second night.
Again, fantastic rooms with very nice soft beds, but if you are paying $500+ a night at a 5 star hotel, there are some basic things that you should not have to worry about like whether your towels were replaced so you can take a shower when you get back after a long day. Would not stay here again.

The check-in and check out process was insanely slow which left me irritated on arrival and depparture. Half an hour for each. The fitness room did not meet my expecxtations for a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was ok, but i expected more.
The view is what you pay for in this hotel. Rooms held i high standard, i only hoped the rest of the hotel held the same standard. I will not come back.

Awesome hotel. Rooms were fantastic with good views. Staff overall was somewhat cold and stand offish. Not a super memorable experience because of the staff. Nice place overall and would return.

Excellent hotel for its price. Spacious rooms, and the view over the Elbe river is breathtaking.
Great restaurant, great bar! Easy access to the Elbphilharmonie, so if you visit Hamburg to attend a concert there, the choice of the hotel is obvious.

Very nice location. The service is a little too slow, especially at the reception. Something could be done , just for the sake of the status of the location. But when they make it - they make it - everyone is friendly and very nice. Enjoying every time

The hotel is absolutely well located. The service and the facilities were amazing.
It is indeed a beautiful experience to stay in this hotel.
As Elite Members we were treated very well and received an upgrade to a beautiful suite. Complementary Upgrade is of course based on availability, but in this case we were lucky.

The best view of Hamburg in the philharmonic. The decorations of the hotel fits completely with the smell and the esthetic of Hamburg. The restaurant is simply delicious and the service the best

Although our experience was a little bumpy due to an unexpected situation, the hotel staff truly made up for it! The entire team here is incredible/location is great and those are the reasons I would recommend this hotel to anyone! I wanted to give a should out to Katerina Muller (Manager on Duty), Diana Guenter (receptionist) and also Tariq Saleem (hotel technichan) for all of their support during our stay.

First stay but not the last. Stunning hotel, great rooms, engaging staff and enjoyable atmosphere. Impressive architecture and nice natural embed into the Elbphilharmonie.
