Buddy Hotel

Overall, Buddy Hotel was a convenient pick for a short stay in Munich. Rooms are small, but beds are comfortable and the shower was superb. Staff was friendly and we felt safe during our stay.

It’s a clean modern hotel. The rooms are extremely compact and you will need to crawl over your partner to get into and out of bed. It is a Tetris hotel where you have to decide who stands where to move around the room and there is no real space to put your luggage. 😂

Complimentary pastries for breakfast available at 7am.in the reception area. Walking distance to a lot of great spots, tourist sites, and dining. Close to subway.

Parking onsite is 18€ per day. Warning, the parking lot is extremely tiny and narrow and if you have a larger vehicle you have to be very careful navigating through the sharp narrow turn when exiting the parking lot. We unfortunately scraped our rental car trying to get out. In hindsight I would have exited through the entrance ramp which is straight up, no tight curves…

The rooms are an excellent use of space - they are not big but have everything you need and are clean/organized. The location is very convenient for walking to attractions or getting on the subway just across the street. Comparatively, for the price per night, you will not find much better in Munich downtown.

Absolutely no problems with this hotel. Room was on the 5th floor, great view, easy walk to any place you could want to go and the train station literally underneath the building. Room was quiet - hardly knew anyone else was in the building.

Nice, modern, no nonsense hotel. I booked two separate overnight stays here during my train travel. Bed is comfortable. Standard room is small but has all you need for a comfortable short stay. Nice shower and bathroom. Clean room. Free coffee/tea maker in the room. AC worked well. Friendly staff. Got an upgrade to a bigger room on the second stay. That room size is more comfortable for longer stays or for staying with two persons and a lot of luggage. Conveniently located: at walking distance from the main train station and beautiful historic city centre, trams stop in front of the hotel, shops in the underpassage accessible from in front of the hotel. Be aware that street noise continues throughout the night, so the street facing rooms have the best view but also the most noise. Side facing rooms are a little bit quieter. Rear facing rooms (courtyard) are probably more quiet, haven't experienced those. Street facing rooms have blinds to make the room very dark during the night. Side facing room I stayed in had a less effective shutter type so did not get entirely dark.

Great place to use as a tour hub.
Bus met us 50 meters away from the hotel entrance. Rooms were just right for a place to sleep, and a shower. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed the Buddy hotel once I got over my initial disappointment regarding the room size. Once my companion and I shared our desire to have a larger room, staff graciously gave us what was called the deluxe room. It’s still only had one bed, but the size was far better. Bathroom was great, room was very clean, location was perfect and I would gladly stay there again. Another point I’d make was to go ahead and book with them directly online where you can see what size room you’re reserving. Overall I would give this hotel 4 1/2 stars. Enjoy your stay!!!!

Perfect location.
Based on the price, one should set an expectation on what you’ll get.
Rooms were very clean and modern/updated.

-hand towels provided as shower towels
-rooms extremely small and we booked the biggest one
-the bed recline didn’t work
-internet tablets didn’t work
-grab and go breakfast is a pretzel
-air conditioning didn’t work and it was relatively warm the 2 days we stayed.
