Reviews
The room had a little frig which we appreciated.
The service was very good and friendly. The gym was ample with lots of weights and weight machines, three treadmills and some stationary bikes. There was a small indoor pool that looked nice but we didn’t use.
The breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious! It was also very expensive (€32) but we treated ourselves since we were on vacation!
Overall, I would recommend this hotel highly.
We stayed here to go see Adele for 2 nights some staff were friendly others had very poor English. The hotel is dated and old. There are not enough facilities for all guests. The bar is a dated room with horrible curtains surrounding the windows. The breakfast was €64 for 2 people and no way was it worth it. The room was fine clean and basic however €6 for a bottle of water is a joke and the hotel shop was insanely over priced. Considering the amount they charge for the room they need to re invest it into the hotel. The lifts when we arrived didn’t take us to the right floor we stayed on 11 and it either brought us to 9 or 12. Hotel needs serious updating and more luxury touches to make it worth the money your paying
It’s our dog)
The location is really good, beautiful park near by with atmospheric outdoor food and drink place to hangout.
The hotel it self seems a little bit outdated. The rooms are decent size. We had a room overlooking the river and park. It was ok for a short stay, but the smoking area below our balcony caused the smell of the smoke coming inside the room.
The other a bit frustrating issue was the key room. Each time we needed to use it, it didn’t work. One of us had to go to the reception to had it reset it.
We really enjoyed the breakfast. Good selection of cold food, like smoked salmon, meats, cheese, fresh food and yogurts. Pastries and bakery produce was plenty. Good selection of hot food too.
For anyone fancying to start the day with a glass of bubbly, that was an option too.
The restaurant faces the park and the river, so it’s nice and quiet.
We would definitely stay again.
1. The key. You can't have keys that don't work with all eligible elevators. Guests have to manipulate the elevators to get the right ones that will (most likely) take you to your destination floor
2. The executive lounge; it's above capacity both nights - not enough seating, back filling of food & beverages is not up to speed with demand.
3. The spa is a joke - we reserve our spot to ensure that it's not overloaded, and we get a specially programmed key. The issue is that the normal keys work, so our "slot" was super-crowded. For being Germany, however, the sauna isn't bad at all. The pool is too small for a premise like this. The steam sauna is ok, but at least to me a bit smelly
The rooms are adequate. Not new but still somehow pleasant
The breakfast is totally fine, with a few skews to accommodate for some culturally specific desires.
Concierge services seem to be limited to daytime service but when present, they're really helpful
All this said, the staff is really attentive and otherwise service-minded, no complaints regarding the attitude.
Apart from the key issue, most are first world problems.
There are other hotels in the area for better prices, service and comfort.
The lobby smells like a latrine upon entering. The staff however is EXCELLENT. We are on the executive floor and it’s just old and shabby. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Valet Parking and Checkin is terrible... only one attendant and absolutely no control over taxi's, Limo, and guests. The entrance drive gets so backed up you end up waiting 30 minutes or just parking yourself. (this happened on checkin and the following day)
Restaurant cannot get even a basic burger order correct and once you finally get what you asked for it is practically tasteless. I could not eat 1/2 of it and ended up giving it to my dog. Even worse, after waiting for so long for my food... they had the nerve to say the kitchen was closed when I wanted to order desert...
Breakfast on the Executive suite was horrible with coffee machines not replenished (half of the options were unavailable), the buffet not refilled, and the bacon basically served raw. Staff appeared to be completely indifferent to the customers needs.
The room is clean but the furniture is hard used with chips and scratches readily apparent everywhere. Bathroom Sink cracked in multiple places and rust/corrosion readily evident on balcony.
Final straw... no real manager available to talk to... Only a very young "supervisor" whom I had no faith could implement any real improvements.
The only think executive about my stay so far is the rates I am paying....
The location is rather awkward since there aren't restaurants or shops nearby.
