The hotel itself is set in a tranquil location—quite a distance from the airport, so plan accordingly—but once you arrive, you’re surrounded by peace, lush greenery, and the soothing sounds of the ocean. The beach is absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear water, making it the perfect place to relax.
One standout aspect was how beautifully the staff decorated our dinner table and even the door to our room for my birthday celebration. It was a thoughtful touch that made the day extra special. The food was delicious—every meal felt like a treat, with fresh, flavorful ingredients and great presentation. Also, don’t forget to try the signature smoked cocktail at the bar—I can’t remember the name, but it was a fun and unique drink experience that’s definitely worth trying!
A small word of advice: make sure to bring and use mosquito repellent. I got quite a few bites on my arms and legs, especially in the evenings, so it’s something to be aware of.
Overall, Zoëtry Agua is a fantastic place if you’re looking to unwind in luxury, be treated like royalty, and enjoy beautiful surroundings with amazing food. I’d definitely return—and next time, with bug spray in hand!

The food is amazing especially for an all inclusive resort. It’s not even fair to compare it to any other all inclusive that we’ve been.
I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was a 5-star experience all the way! The attention to detail and the service were a cut above the rest. Special shout out to Sory for always making our dining experience amazing! She’s the best.

We visit the Dominican Republic often, staying at various hotels and resorts—many of which have been outstanding. This time, we selected Zoëtry for its reputation of being an intimate, tranquil alternative to the larger party-style resorts. We also booked one of the most expensive rooms available, the Junior Ocean Front Suite, expecting a premium experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property didn’t meet expectations. The resort is very small and, compared to others we’ve stayed at in the country, lacks beauty and appears run-down and poorly maintained.
The issues began immediately:
• The shower did not produce hot water and required a 20–30 minute wait. When my wife mentioned it to staff, she was told not to expect hot water—something we’ve never heard in any hotel stay.
• The shower was also clogged and required maintenance.
• The following day, the air conditioning stopped functioning properly and wouldn’t cool the room below 24°C.
• The bathroom had an ongoing odor of sewage backup.
• There were mosquitoes in the room every night, especially after housekeeping visits.
• The food was mediocre at best, and trying to reach the hospitality contact for assistance was very difficult and slow.
Considering the amount of money we spent for a supposedly high-end, peaceful experience, this stay fell far below expectations. Zoëtry did not deliver the luxury, comfort, or tranquility that was promised.
