I recently stayed at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana to celebrate my birthday with my best friend, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with champagne and warm smiles from the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay.
The hotel itself is set in a tranquil location—quite a distance from the airport, so plan accordingly—but once you arrive, you’re surrounded by peace, lush greenery, and the soothing sounds of the ocean. The beach is absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear water, making it the perfect place to relax.
One standout aspect was how beautifully the staff decorated our dinner table and even the door to our room for my birthday celebration. It was a thoughtful touch that made the day extra special. The food was delicious—every meal felt like a treat, with fresh, flavorful ingredients and great presentation. Also, don’t forget to try the signature smoked cocktail at the bar—I can’t remember the name, but it was a fun and unique drink experience that’s definitely worth trying!
A small word of advice: make sure to bring and use mosquito repellent. I got quite a few bites on my arms and legs, especially in the evenings, so it’s something to be aware of.
Overall, Zoëtry Agua is a fantastic place if you’re looking to unwind in luxury, be treated like royalty, and enjoy beautiful surroundings with amazing food. I’d definitely return—and next time, with bug spray in hand!

We had an incredible vacation at Zoetry with our family. The resort is stunning and the service is top notch. Johan, our concierge was incredible and especially great with our teen/tween kids. Juan with water sports is a blast and helped with snorkeling and boat expeditions. We loved all of the restaurant staff, especially Natalie and Henry.
The entertainment and crafts were great and so was the morning yoga! We can’t wait to come back!

One of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at. Overall we were super super happy with our stay. In different areas of the resort you can tell it’s nearly 20 years old BUT it’s first class service all the way. Anything we asked for, Manuel made happen. Loungers outside our room by the pool ✅. Massage at the spa ✅.
The food is amazing especially for an all inclusive resort. It’s not even fair to compare it to any other all inclusive that we’ve been.
I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was a 5-star experience all the way! The attention to detail and the service were a cut above the rest. Special shout out to Sory for always making our dining experience amazing! She’s the best.

We chose Zoëtry for our 12-year anniversary, expecting a peaceful and luxurious escape, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised.
We visit the Dominican Republic often, staying at various hotels and resorts—many of which have been outstanding. This time, we selected Zoëtry for its reputation of being an intimate, tranquil alternative to the larger party-style resorts. We also booked one of the most expensive rooms available, the Junior Ocean Front Suite, expecting a premium experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property didn’t meet expectations. The resort is very small and, compared to others we’ve stayed at in the country, lacks beauty and appears run-down and poorly maintained.
The issues began immediately:
• The shower did not produce hot water and required a 20–30 minute wait. When my wife mentioned it to staff, she was told not to expect hot water—something we’ve never heard in any hotel stay.
• The shower was also clogged and required maintenance.
• The following day, the air conditioning stopped functioning properly and wouldn’t cool the room below 24°C.
• The bathroom had an ongoing odor of sewage backup.
• There were mosquitoes in the room every night, especially after housekeeping visits.
• The food was mediocre at best, and trying to reach the hospitality contact for assistance was very difficult and slow.
Considering the amount of money we spent for a supposedly high-end, peaceful experience, this stay fell far below expectations. Zoëtry did not deliver the luxury, comfort, or tranquility that was promised.

The resort was beautiful. Great rooms, service, restaurants, and amenities. The pools and views were so lovely. What made our experience even better was the staff! Angel at Indigo was so welcoming and nice! Seeing him first thing in the morning was a great way to start our day! The whole staff at Indigo for breakfast was great! Then seeing Daniel and the pool bar staff was Excellente as well! Adrian and Cesar were both really kind and attentive. They did a great job being so joyful and kind while also working to make our drinks fast and delicious! Sory was one of our favorites! She has the best smile that can change anyone’s mood for the better! She greeted us with kindness every day and really went above and beyond! We ate at Amaya and it was delicious! They even brought out a special birthday treat! Luis was also really wonderful - the whole staff was! The lobby bar was open until 1am and the service and drinks were fantastic! Joel and Grisel were amazing! Gabriel was wonderful too! Our host was Johan who did a great job communicating with us throughout our stay. It’s nice that they pair you with someone you can contact. The resort app is very useful and helpful as well! The whole staff was very friendly and really made our stay. We hope to come back and visit again one day :)

Beautiful, great upkeep, and friendly staff! It's on the smaller side (90 something rooms) which made the resort feel more private.
The food was good not great but with the different options and all you can eat options, you can't go wrong.

If there was a 6-star option, this place earned it. The property is gorgeous. The service is fantastic, personal, and exceeded all expectations. The meal options were abundant and equally delightful. We came to celebrate an anniversary and life goals. The other couples were in the same boat. Honeymoons and anniversaries were very common. The bartenders are fun and are very pleasant to work with. The waiters and waitress make you feel like family. The site is not in Punta Cana, which is fantastic. Zoetry is quite, secluded and safe. I wouldn't suggest leaving the property alone since there is nothing around.

We have not taken a relaxing kind of vacation In years - this was absolutely perfect. The property itself is beautiful and quiet, well tended. The staff were unfailingly accommodating. This will now be our go to for any time we want to relax.
In the off season the restaurant choices could be limiting but we got plenty to eat. Most meals were above average which seems to be good for any all inclusive.
Absolutely no complaints.

Update: my husband was bitten. Not by the mosquitoes as he has never had a mosquito bite in his life but he had 30-40 no see um bites easily.
Everyone there is extremely nice but the bug issue is extremely unacceptable. I ended our 6 night trip day 3 after having upwards of 100 bites on my entire body. When we first arrived I pointed out some people with extreme bites wondering why and now I know. It’s unacceptable for a Hyatt owned property to not have a better solution. The worst was I would hide in my room but get bites all night in my bed. Not sure if they entered from under the door or lived in the bed. They were very understanding and fumigated my room but unfortunately that is no help with an infestation throughout the resort. I didn’t even step foot on the beach and the rate person I saw on the beach were killing bugs and rushing back. Shame on Hyatt for not disclosing this issue and finding a better resolution given they are in lush landscaping. I’ve been all over the world in lush landscape and never had an issue like this in my life. If bugs like you BEWARE. I’m still suffering with the no see um bites and it will ruin your vacation.

My experience was amazing!!! The customer service was over the top, the rooms were beautiful, there was direct beach access, the complimentary horse riding excursion was great, and all of the food/drinks/desserts were amazing. The resort also gives guests a complimentary 20 minute massage at the spa which was heavenly. I reached out to the manager prior to my stay about the bed bug concern that I noticed others mention in their reviews. She assured me they did not have any and made sure everything was to my liking and even fumigated my room prior to my stay just so that I could feel comfortable. There are no bed bugs (we checked high and low!) just a few mosquitoes and there are mosquito sprays in every room and at every restaurant for free that guests can use. 10/10!
