I saw so many mixed reviews from the food, to the rooms, & service. Our experience with our friends this October 2024 was great! Our friends check in was smooth. Mine took a little longer but still got in our room before check in time. I thought that the food was actually pretty great. Not everything I ordered but every place I found great food. Service was really wonderful. We had preferred and a butler. Our butler Henry was amazing! So helpful. The bed was very comfortable & loved that we had several options for pillows. The a/c in our room got very cold to the point I had to turn it down. We were on the side with children & we had none but we honestly there was barely any signs of kids.

6 of us just went to Dreams Onyx. This is our second time here and the experience was even better than the first. Many of the staff remembered us and we were greeted with cocktails right off the bat. I was the only one with a gluten allergy and I was able to have fries, pancakes and cheese burgers and Martin went out of his was to be sure every restaurant we attended had options for me including pasta. Can't wait until we go back next year! I should say that all of the staff was courteous and friendly and went out of there way to be sure we were happy.

I recently travelled here for my 40th birthday. If your budget allows for it, I highly suggest the preferred section of the resort, as there are so many perks that come with it! Preferred pool, beach and restaurant.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Probably one of the cleaner resorts I’ve been too.
My butler Alvaro was amazing and attentive. Any request I had was literally fulfilled within minutes. He’s a 15/10!
Food is hit or miss, in the a la cart restaurants the food more often than not came out cold and sometimes way over cooked. The buffet was great with lots of selection. If you are lucky, you will get Victor as your server in the buffet. Victor will go out of his way to make your dining experience great!
I would definitely travel back to this resort, based on the cleanliness, staff and beach.

Rooms need a little upgrade, beds are hard lol but that was the only bad thing. They have the best beach hands down, staff is amazing, Breakfast was my favorite! Kary at the beach was wonderful, please ask for her. She is attentive, makes a good drink and will spoil you. Miriam at the night time bar by the restaurants is super sweet with the most hospitality. I was amazed she remembered me and my drink orders after one night, there are so many people there. Spa was nice , I recommend you do a morning there before you get your beach on.

It had really good food like French toast, muffins, donuts and more for breakfast. It had plenty of fancy restaurants with authentic cultural dishes and more. The beach had a lot of algae and wasn’t calm most the time. Everything was close proximity and also the staff were extremely friendly. They also gave us a free pair of slippers as a parting gift.

I recently stayed at the Dream Onyx Resort and had an exceptional experience. The room was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after long days of activities. The staff were great, offering amazing service at every turn.
The buffet was alright, but the standout dining experience was definitely the Asian restaurant—it was the best by far.
A special shout out to Felix, the bartender at the water park, who was outstanding and truly enhanced our stay with his exceptional service.
We participated in two excursions, both of which went smoothly and added to our overall enjoyment of the trip. The daily hotel activities were very enjoyable, and the entertainment provided was great.
Overall, Dream Onyx Resort is a fantastic hotel with wonderful people and outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Dreams Onyx was a wonderful experience. The hotel you may notice is a little dated, but the employees do a great job at keeping the resort as clean as possible. The rooms are nice, but water from the shower would leak by toilet area every time we showered. Had to put a towel down everyday so our feet wouldnt get wet while using the restroom. Employees are very attentive and polite. Bartender Joel by the theater was great! Food was what you would expect at an all inclusive hotel. The skirt steak at Blue water grill was exceptional though. Excursions where easy to book and everything was on time. Entertainment every night which is great if you have kids. Would definitely go back to Dreams Onyx they really do make you feel welcomed while you're staying at the resort.

Just left after a 5 days stay and it was by far the best vacation spot ever. From the time i arrived everyone was so friendly and helpful. I loved having the many International options with food and room service 24 hrs never disappointed me. Pools were every where and never did i feel over crowded. Only thing i would recommend improvement on was the entertainment I realize its family friendly but with the acception of Madonna who I'm not really of fan on the entertainment aspect was lacking

Everyone is nice, friendly, and committed. Food was decent not luxury, drinks were a little too much alcohol but most of them were great. Location is nice but lots of construction nearby. Something to do everyday and you’ll never be bored. Overall definitely recommend. Word of advice is watch out for people outside the resort to overpriced items and try to take your money!

This resort was amazing. The staff was attentive, polite and all around wonderful. The room was clean and spacious, and the pools are amazing. I would give the food 7/10 with the French restaurant being the best. The drinks were always good and the carts to take you around the property as well as access the breathless property next door was amazing. The only thing I think they should improve on was entertainment as I felt this was a little underwhelming. Otherwise great property and will definitely be back.
