Everything was great. I don't know why people write such bad reviews. The hotel is like Aladdin's 1001 nights, there is plenty of food, the staff is friendly, the rooms are older but clean, water and towels are regularly replaced. Our waiter Hany was very kind and helpful. If you don't want to be disturbed, let him know politely. It's all up to you. You attract as you radiate. I will definitely be back.

I chose this place due to its proximity to the airport. It was a 1 night stay. The hotel is extremely outdated and old. Rooms are not super clean and linens and towels are super worn out. The pillows are also very old and must be replaced. The AC was good and the customer service is great. However, I wouldn’t go again. It shows as a 5 star hotel on Booking and that is extremely inaccurate.

My wife and I stayed at The Grand Resort in Hurghada and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and we didn’t encounter any issues with tipping as mentioned in some reviews. Everything went smoothly and we felt well taken care of.
The beach was nice, though tour sellers can be a bit persistent. However, a polite and clear “no” is enough—they don’t push further.
One small downside was the buffet drink machines—some drinks (like cola) had an odd taste and smell, probably due to the water used. Because of this, we preferred bottled drinks from the à la carte bars or opted for hot beverages.
Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing and the dinners were enjoyable. The hotel left us with lovely memories, and we would recommend it to others.

The location is amazing. Staff is friendly and they try their best with little equipment. Breakfast is nice, also the pool is very nice.
There is no parking. The hotel is old and I wouldn't call it very clean. We asked for extra pillows and we got a yellow one. The kettle had mold inside it and the towels had brown patches (check pics). Lunch and dinner were MISERABLE, with very limited and tasteless choices, it always seemed like leftovers revisited. Our room and corridor smelled funny. The hotel deserves 4 stars at its best, not a 5 star hotel at all. Even the elevators were rigged. Will never come back and I don't recommend it to anyone.

It looks more promising than it really is but for the price we paid I need to be fair and say it was descent. That’s the only reason it takes the 3*. The reason I’m writing this review is to warn everyone to be aware of the fake kindness you will come across all over Egypt and of course in this hotel. A guy, who was introduced by the receptionist, was supposed to accommodate our stay in the hotel. He deceitfully asked to take a photo of my confirmation and PIN number from booking to expedite the check in process. Using those personal information he left a fake review on booking on my behalf to raise the average rating of the hotel… Food for thought before you book your stay.

Location was good is quite nice and also quite close to hotel, the rooms are clean and people do clean regularly however in the shower the hot water barely functions, the rest of the hotel is quite beautiful even though it is old. The service however could be better, some are nice but most people are trying to pull as much money out of you as possible, even when your are sitting down for food there are employees from other companies not from the hotel that are allowed inside to sell you things. They interrupt our conversation to try and get us to buy their juice or food. Also there is a beautiful full grand piano however it stays covered up all the time in the lobby however when I asked to play it they said no one is allowed, I explain to them I have been learning piano a long time and even have had classical tradoning and they still refused, saying no one is allowed to touch it. Here I am paying 1300 gdp to stay in the hotel with my family and I am not allowed to play everyone some nice classical music in the afternoo

It is a very grand hotel with a lovely pool and very clean beach. The problem with the hotel is their focus on extracting extra money at all costs above customer service and guest enjoyment.
The majority of the staff are there to try and sell you extras as opposed to helping with other requests. This includes food, drinks, massage, tattoos and much more. This meant sitting by the pool or beach we were continually pestered including waking us up or interrupting our conversation.
The hotel had very arbitrary rules on what could happen when and where without clear guidance, resulting in being told off by staff. A lot of the time it was for trying to order food which is another major issue with the hotel.
The all inclusive buffet was hit and miss on content but it unfortunately left both of us quite ill many times. It is fortunate that there are many pharmacies surrounding the hotel as they were able to provide pills to calm the effects of the food. We saw other guests discussing and sharing the pills at dinner. We went with 'antinal' which appeared to be the preferred choice for others staying there too.
The rooms were of good quality and very clean. Would have been 5 stars, except there was no hot water in the shower.
It would be an unfair review to not mention and thank the members of staff who were helpful and worked to make sure people enjoyed their stay. Cheers Meadow. They were just outnumbered by those, presumably at management's request, who were annoying guests to buy something.
