Positives:
The staff at the restaurant were consistently nice and helpful, ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout our stay. Special mention goes to our room cleaner, Mohamed, who did an amazing job keeping everything spot on and maintained a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Room and Facilities:
The hotel itself is generally okay, with plenty of activities to keep guests entertained. However, considering the price we paid, we expected a bit more in terms of luxury and overall experience.
Negatives:
One significant downside was the location. It didn't feel ideal for couples seeking a quiet getaway, as there were children running and yelling all over the place, even during the night shows, which disrupted the otherwise relaxing atmosphere.
Additionally, a particularly frustrating experience involved the pharmacy inside the resort. The prices were exorbitantly high compared to outside the hotel. For instance, tablets that cost $2 elsewhere were being sold for $45, Strepsils tablets for $15, and even nail clippers for $15. This felt like an attempt to overcharge guests, and I strongly urge hotel management to investigate this issue to protect their guests from being exploited.
Overall:
In conclusion, Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh is a nice resort with plenty of activities and commendable staff, but there are areas that need improvement. The hotel is more suited for families with children rather than couples looking for a peaceful retreat. While we had some good moments, the location and certain negative experiences with the resort's pharmacy left us feeling that the stay was not entirely worth the money spent.
Would I recommend this hotel? If you're traveling with kids, you might enjoy the variety of activities available. However, if you're a couple looking for a tranquil vacation, you might want to consider other options.
My husband and I was very happy and pleased with 7 days stay. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer. We will come back! :)
