Because we booked the hotel spontaneously, we couldn’t reserve one room for the entire stay and ended up staying in three different rooms — from a very basic one to a room with a direct sea view. In all three rooms, the air conditioners were in equally terrible condition. They were moldy. When we asked for the air conditioner to be cleaned, a staff member came and simply wiped the mold off the outside, but the rotating filter still had a lot of mold on it. At the front desk, we were told that it wasn’t mold but just dust. However, mold can’t be present only on the outside in such large amounts — it must be inside the entire air conditioner. This means that most likely the entire air conditioning system in the hotel is in very poor condition.

Because mold is very harmful and toxic and can cause poisoning if spread throughout the room by the air conditioner, we didn’t use it. Instead, we were given a fan. Since we couldn’t sleep with the window open due to very bright lights from the street and a balcony shining into the window, we slept with the curtains closed. It was terribly stuffy and very hot. We woke up sweating, which caused quite significant discomfort.

Unfortunately, during our entire stay, no one properly cleaned the air conditioner. We asked for compensation, but our request was denied.

On the positive side, I can say the hotel is in a very good location. The staff are simply amazing, and the food is very tasty. The manager at the reception, Marcos, was super friendly, told us a lot about Benidorm, and was a very positive person. We were happy to see him every time.

Unfortunately, these positives do not outweigh the serious downside of the health risk caused by the mold.

Let’s start with the positives…..
Breakfast is great and all cooked fresh to order with very helpful staff.
You have an amazing roof terrace with exceptional views but those deck chairs are rubbish and it needs sun beds you can actually lie on. You see people come up and look around and just go back down. There is never any staff up there and I feel it’s soulless and you’re missing out on this being used more. The bar doesn’t open and you have to give 20 euros to use a towel when you should have them already for use on the terrace.
Reception is hit and miss with some good staff but some are rude. A young male told us to stop laughing at 10pm in Benidorm with a nightclub outside that keeps you awake!!! He got told 🤬
We asked for an iron and iron board on two occasions which took 24 hours to actually received one after 8 calls!

Would I recommend, no I wouldn’t as you cannot go back and relax in the sun which is a priority for us when on a sunshine break.

Hotel was lovely beds comfy if you can sleep with all the noise of people coming in till four in the morning arguing and very noisy. The breakfast we had on the first morning was fantastic the second morning we asked for a breakfast to go as we had to leave before breakfast started. We had a make your own, two slices of bread a bit dry in foil, three different meats didn’t look nice in foil, a butter and a jam no means of spreading the butter. An apple and pear, water and pineapple juice, A guy begging outside the multi storey car park got the lot I hope he enjoyed it
