The pool is a plus for cooling off in hot Madrid, but the garden area needs more maintenance.
The bar is very expensive.
Overall, if you don't pay too much, the price-performance ratio is good.
But what truly stood out was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They treated me like family, and their genuine care made my stay memorable. Whether it was a friendly chat at the front desk or a helpful recommendation from the concierge, I felt valued as a guest.
The location is also a major plus. It's conveniently situated near attractions and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city.
In summary, I highly recommend this hotel. The exceptional service, quality breakfast buffet, cleanliness, and personal touch create an unforgettable experience.
The furniture is very minimalistic and old. I even saw a silverfish in the bathroom. So be careful filling the wardrobe with your clothes. Otherwise, be ready to take silverfish eggs home 🏡
Breakfast was also very minimalistic. There are not many options, and waiters don't serve you any options for freshly cooked omelette. It was written on the table but nobody came to ask. The place was busy and if you are busy to go for a meeting then forget it.
The noise in the corridor is significant. Rooms are not soundproof. Both night shouts from street come easily from window but worst of all side rooms of other guests can slam at any time in night including cleaners slamming them in morning means sleep isn't the most quiet or comfortable. Get some ear plugs if you have sensitive sleep.
I liked the Marriot hotel much better. That was more like 4 or 5 stars. So be aware while booking, and it's better to check the prices of Marriot and Hilton as you are likely going to get better value for the money. Metro connects all these hotels, so it's no big deal to be a few km away when Metro brings you to Sol station easily. I would prefer a better quality room.
I think if they advertise themselves as 3 stars, it will be a better representation and drop room prices according. It's not a star hotel at any cost.
