Aqua Blu - Adults Only by Checkin in Hersonissos

What a lovely hotel with a great group of staff! Everyone that works in this hotel has hospitality as a high priority, it's not acted it is sincere. The rooms are lovely and the beds are great, we stayed in several hotels in Crete and this hotel had for sure the best beds! The staff is very involved and caring, they take care of you and do everything they can to offer you a pleasant stay.

The location is great, nice and quiet but therefore there is little within walking distance. A rental car (or taxis) are the solution!

A very lovely and peaceful hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean and carefully furnished in a modern style. I’d especially like to highlight the staff – they were always more than friendly and incredibly attentive. It really made us feel welcome and comfortable.

The location is also great: within a few minutes by car, you can reach a beautiful promenade with lots of restaurants, and the sea is just a short walk away. There’s also a large parking area available. The value for money is excellent.

One small note – not really a complaint, just a suggestion: it would be great if the bar offered a bit more variety of sweet treats besides ice cream. People with a sweet tooth like me would certainly appreciate it!

My fiancé and I recently stayed at Aqua Blu towards the end of our 5-week European holiday. It is the perfect place to have some R&R and enjoy the beautiful Crete weather.
The pool and bar area is stunning with ample sun chairs and shade available. The rooms are gorgeous, modern and very tidy!
It is within walking distance to a range of restaurants, bars and beach clubs, and it also has a small but adequate range of bar food and snacks on site that you can order as well.
The hotel is also a short drive from the popular town of Hersonissos.
The absolute best aspect of this accommodation, however, is the amazing staff that run it! The owner, Debbie, is so lovely and goes above and beyond to make sure all guests have everything they need. The bar staff and cleaners are also friendly and helpful and take the time to get to know you. You leave the place feeling like you have gained friends! We will definitely be back next time we are in Crete and cannot recommend this accommodation enough!

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we loved our stay. All of the staff from the owners, managers to the cleaners were charming, friendly, helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and things to do etc. We loved the peaceful quiet poolside and loved the way the staff constantly checked you were ok all day long, nothing was too much for them. Marco was brilliant, always smiling. I usually look forward to going home after 9 days, I could easily have stayed at this hotel longer, it felt like home from home. It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in a good location. We didnt hire a car but managed to get around, taxis are good service and reasonably priced. We will definitely return again. All of the people working there are very nice, always want to help you have a perfect time. You can easily walk 5 min to the sea to have the perfect sun set. It is calm, super clean and you can have a room with a private pool that's just amazing - thank you for having us :)

I traveled with a female friend and we loved our stay. The staff is extremely accomodating, friendly, happy to share travel tips and small talk. The rooms are spacious, functional and well decorated, all rooms have a small terrace and are cleaned thoroughly daily. The pool area is super well maintained and relax. I can confirm the reviews that say the shower water temperature is spotty, however I hate showering cold and I was never able to not shower; one time I had a lukewarm shower and one time I had to wait for the water to warm (we stayed 8 days).

A point for improvement however: the breakfast. Every day you select your breakfast options for the next morning from a buffet style list of foods and drinks. Everything is well prepared and tasty but it gets repetitive after a while since the options are limited and always the same. A breakfast menu would be a better option to serve food of higher quality and flavour while limiting food waste; and would be more appropriate considering the hotel's boutique vibe. I would also expect the orange juice to be freshly squeezed. I took off a star for the breakfast.

The sea is walking distance away, although the beach is not the nicest here, but there are some very nice options nearby like Saradari beach. The location is 10min from Chersonissos with car; the hotel has free parking in front and car rental (if booked in advance) is very affordable in Crete, and a necessity if you want to see some of the beauty the island has to offer. The roads are well maintained.

Aqua Blu is the perfect location for couples looking for peace and quiet, who are happy to drive a car to explore Crete and to go dine out (the 2-3 restaurants in the hotel area are not recommended). The staff will be happy to assist in making the most of your stay here!

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we loved our stay. All of the staff from the manager to the cleaners were lovely, friendly and will do anything for you. The vibe at this small resort is completely chilled, slow and relaxed. It was so quiet and peaceful all the time, everywhere was really clean and tidy. I slept better here than I do at home, the shower was amazing and we had a hot tub and a good sized outside lounging area too on the balcony which felt very special. Breakfast was great and they had a really good selection that you just choose the night before but can change or add to it in the morning. We spent quite a lot of time at the Bar, thank you Marco :) and although they don't officially have a restaurant they serve snacks till 18:00 everyday and are very good. If we visit Crete int the future we will not hesitate to stay here again.

This was the one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. I like to do a lot of research before travels and I'm so happy I cane across this wonderful, small place. Debi was the most attentive and polite, kind, lovely host we could have asked for. Happy to help us with anything and spoke to us to help us settle in every single day. The staff were also very lovely and helpful. We already can't wait to come back and visit in years to come!

Aqua blue is the most amazing boutique hotel ,it is beautiful furnished, peaceful and the staff treat you like family the are so hard working and more then happy to help.
