Stayed here during our family’s trip to Rome this summer and couldn’t have asked for more. All the hotel staff were so pleasant and lovely. Shout out to Hannibal in the breakfast room for going the extra mile in making our stay so much better. The location is excellent, close to a metro line and Spanish Steps. Highly recommended.

I know it's great to be in an old boutique hotel but this place needs a little upgrade. The lobby ambiance is wonderful and staff very helpful. And yes, the location makes up for the room quirks and that two person elevator

According to the pictures on their web site, I thought I booked a deluxe room when it was a standard room of which the staff denied it. When we questioned it, they said there was another River Palace hotel in Rome but I couldn't find another hotel of the same name. There were no hop on/hop off bus stops close. The closest site was the Spanish Steps and that was a LONG walk. They did have a free breakfast which was very good.

Following a cruise on the Royal Clipper we were booked into River Palace Hotel for overnight stay pending our flight the following morning. The staff were courteous,friendly and helpful and we were able to walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps as well as Piazza del Popolo and the church of Santa Maria del Popolo. Excellent breakfast the following morning. An ideal place to stay.

First time in Rome and this was an amazing location. Couldn't ask for a better staff. Very attentive and friendly. Rooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast was plentiful. Location was great.

Service was incredible from the minute we walked in. The reception staff even called a local pizzeria down the street for us to ask if they were still open after he recommended we go and try some authentic Italian food. The bar (service, drinks, late night snacks) were fantastic. While I did not enjoy the open atmosphere to get to our room (quite noisy for those who want to sleep in a bit), the hotel and room was absolutely stunning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very nice hotel! Staff were great and accommodating and the breakfast here was great!

Was in walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops.

Rooms were kind of small but other than that this was a great place to stay and I highly recommend this spot!

5 stars for cleaning. 2 stars for reception and staffs, especially the gent who checked us in and didn't even offer to send someone to help us on our luggage and carryons. Breakfast staffs used to ask other guests what they want to drink,but always skipped us except if we ask them. 4 stars for the area surrounding the place which is almost 30-40 minutes away from attractions. 2 stras for the room which is super small and only good for one person with a carry-on. 2 stars for the elevator from 1st floor to other floors that two person barley fit in. 5 star for the decorations of hotel.

What a hotel. charming European hotel with an amazing location. We did not take one cab because we were centrally located. We had an amazing suite that we loved. I am so grateful we stayed here. If you are not a walker this hotel is a few minutes away from the metro.
The hotel set us up with the best tours possible and made me want to move to Rome❤️

I have now stayed at the River Palace Hotel on 5 occasions since 2019, with each stay having been very satisfactory from start to finish.
On this occasion, starting with a warm welcome from Tetyana and all the staff, our luggage was taken care of and placed in our rooms while we had refreshments next door.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable and refreshed daily. Breakfast is very plentiful in choice with Prosecco fruit juices coffee etc.
Luggage stored after check out until tranfer arrived.
To avoid disappointment book well in advance as this hotel is very popular for very good reasons.
