Divan Istanbul City

I stay at this hotel a few times a year and its location, staff, and room quality are unbeatable -- especially if you take a business trip on the European side and want to avoid the tourist crowd. My only -- and big -- complaint however is the internet connection. It barely functions this year (summer 2024) and this is my 3rd stay in the last three months. It's particularly challenging because I need to attend Zoom meetings and have had to rely on my mobile plan each time. If the problem persists I'll have to switch to another hotel even though I'm happy with this place minus the connectivity issue.

I don’t understand how this hotel isn’t rated five stars when the experience was so amazing!!. All the staff members are hard workers and are very lovely However, one of the staff members Doğan Aydin, made our entire trip. He was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. He walked us to locations around the hotel we needed to be at ensuring that we felt safe and secure. He knew Istanbul like the back of his hand so, he was able to recommend us great spots around the city. He even went out of his way to book the taxis and ensure we had a smooth journey. He had a very warm, positive energy ensuring that he said hello to us each morning and, giving us nice compliments to make our day. He helped us is in so many ways that I am so grateful for, all out of the kindness of his heart. It’s rare to come by such good hearted people and I wish him all the best and hope he receives many promotions. He made our experience in turkey and I would come again just because of how amazing he made our time be. Just to add, the cleaners are so amazing and the rooms were always cleaned exceptionally well. Thank you divan for such a good time!!!

Such a lovely hotel, reception staff gave us a very warm welcome and the room is amazing - perfect beds and great shower too.
Reception staff were especially helpful with an issue we had with a food delivery card machine, they let us take some lira from their till to pay back via card! So thoughtful and saved the day (and our food 🤣)

A nice lovely hotel to stay in, during your trip in istanbul
All the staff here are friendly and helpful.

I liked the place. My two-beaded room was of a nice size, adequately equipped with all kinds of stuff. Batroom was of adequate size with clean shower. Every day, maid was cleaning the whole place. We had clean towels and fresh hygiene suplies every day. We did not gave some view from our room, but still. It is near main road, so some people could find it laud. Breakfast is served and it is classic, nothing special. It has market near (5-10minutes foot walk). It has adequate service/price ratio from my point of view. I would recommend it and I will come back.
