Decent hotel in a nice area of Dubai where living opened a wide range of restaurants, shops, entertainment. Recommend for tourists who are not so important beach holiday and also for business trips.

Location: in the heart of Dubai Festival City, on the Bay, 2 km from the airport Dubai. Connected to shopping Mall. The hotel is connected to hotel Crown Plaza Dubai Festival City 4*.
The hotel belongs to the chain of the INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP.
Consists of a 36-storey building.
The hotel has 498 rooms, rooms interconnect, as well as rooms for smokers and non-smokers, without balconies.
Beach: public, sandy 10 km from the hotel (3 coastline). The entrance to the sea sand. On the beach umbrellas, sun beds: free. Shuttle bus to the beach (the beach Al Mamzar Park, entrance fee 1.4$). The beach is 1.7 km away.
Upon arrival the hotel will take a Deposit, the Deposit amount may be different depending on the length of stay is approximately 1000 dirham a day for 7 days, 5000 dirham/10 days (Deposit is returned in dirham).
Have Russian speaking staff.

The rooms are generous and housekeeping is extremely helpful. The pool area has recently been refurbished and is lovely and clean . We will definitely be returning
I recently stayed at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, and my experience was far below what I would expect from a five-star hotel.
Firstly, the hotel feels old and worn out. The carpets looked worn and had an unpleasant odor, which detracted from the overall atmosphere.
The tinted film on the outside of the window was another frustrating issue, as it severely blocked the view, making the stay less enjoyable—especially in a city like Dubai, where the skyline is part of the experience.
The toilet flushing system was another major problem. The flush button is small and tight, requiring a lot of pressure to operate. You have to press it deeply with considerable finger strength, making it extremely difficult and inconvenient to use.
We requested a late check-out at 1:30 PM, and the hotel initially accepted. However, to my surprise, we received a call before 1:00 PM asking if we were still in the room, which felt very uncomfortable—almost as though we were being kicked out early. This was a bad experience and left a sour note on our departure.
Breakfast was also a chaotic experience. The restaurant was packed, with guests taking each other’s seats, and the overall management was poor. It felt more like a budget hotel experience than the luxury service you’d expect at this level. The presence of large budget tourist groups made the atmosphere even more hectic, and it was clear that this hotel no longer meets the standards of a five-star property.
In summary, the outdated condition of the hotel, combined with these inconveniences, make it difficult to recommend. There are much better options available in Dubai for a true five-star experience.
The hotel's location is ideal, offering stunning views of the city skyline or waterfront, depending on your room choice. Dining options are world-class, with diverse cuisine catering to all tastes, while the attentive staff ensures every meal is memorable. The rooftop pool and spa are perfect for relaxation, offering a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of personalized service—every request is met with a smile, and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Whether you're there for business or leisure, the Intercontinental Hotel Dubai promises an extraordinary experience that will make you want to return again and again.

This is a chic and beautiful hotel. From the entrance Lobby, through the Anise restaurant up to the executive lounge and bedrooms this place oozes class.
The decor is very stylish and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Peter who works in the Executive Lounge is a great asset to the hotel, very attentive and professional.
The pool area has breathtaking views over the waterfront and also has a bar and infinity pool.
The bedrooms are spacious and the executive lounge is huge compared to other hotels I have stayed in.
The area is great too. Away from the busy and crowded city centre Festival City offers a haven for families with a lovely fountain and light show every night.
The hotel is also conveniently linked to the Festival City Mall by a walkthrough.
Definitely worth a visit.
