Reviews
I went there as a casual staff to help as Comi chef assistant.
The first day I greeted some chefs in the kitchen they didn't respond. I was in the butchery section with one chef name chef Azziz. That guy every second complaint. I felt so sad at one point he looked at me and said next day informed my supervisor you don't like butchery I said why he told me because I was sad. I later informed him I'm willing to learn but the way he speaks to me I don't like it. He told reason he was speaking was because the supervisor have put some mistake of fish cutting In their group chat.
Mean you, that was my second day here. I apologise. In every step or what I was doing he complaint I was too slow or his supervisor asking what I'm doing meanwhile I was working.
I was sent for break my first day not knowing the timing or their policy. I took 45 to 50minutes ,I was asked if I wanted to go home which I apologise and told them it will never happen again.
One of my worst day in my life was when I joined the third day being 13/11/2025.night section.
I have been working whole day without rest.
I was asked to go in the buffet section where I was supposed to wait for guests to come for their dinner. Unfortunately few minutes before the event I passed out, I couldn't stand nor allow myself to be seen by the guests. There was a room just behind me, I managed to open while I told my other colleague before the incident to please call me before the guests arrive. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. People started coming out I didn't hear nor understand what was going on. I could only see about two chefs asking me to come out, while I moved forward before finishing my steps I was asked what happened I told the supervisor chef I had stomach issues and I passed out.
Then he follow up with insults on my personality, I was lazy, I don't like the job even went further violated my personal space by taking photos of me without my permission and called the company that sent to not sent me the next day! This all happened infront of other Staffs I apologise again, immediately he has asked me to go home, which I remain calmed and finish my duty that night. His name I believe chef Atoleaque the supervisor executive. I might not have spell his name correctly, but I hope the Hr or team find out the chef executive who claimed to be 49years and could work 14hours non stop which is good for him.
I should note, I couldn't say every words or stuffs he said to me[insults], but my message is this to him.
Never never judge someone without hearing their own side or humiliated them in front of many Staffs you never know who was standing infron of you. Just because u are the chef executive. I write this for the public to read gives their judgment, after my investigation I was told these chefs behave like this to many others people before me.
I hope the Hr change their policy, one more important note its a very hostile environment especially if you are a black guy like me. Reason I couldn't find anyone who looks like me in that environment. They know themselves, I wasn't there for such to happen. I was there to learn meet people and share experience but it turned out to be one of my worst experiences and humiliation. The chef once he read my message he will know. Most of them are very hostile to new people I hope they change and make this hotel work place a beautiful environment for others in the future and people that look like myself thank you.
Room was excellent bed was so comfortable bathroom was massive.
Facilities were excellent and Staff were so helpful and friendly when we arrived after a long flight in the middle of the night. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for an extra night,
Definitely be back.
I immediately contacted Booking.com and they were extremely professional, helpful, and understanding. They confirmed my cancellation without any penalty and clearly stated that I was eligible for a refund. However, dealing with the hotel was a nightmare.
I called the hotel many, many times and stayed on the line for a long time, constantly being transferred from one department to another (reservations to front desk and back again) with no solution. I was promised several call backs but none ever happened. Each time I tried to follow up, the staff gave excuses or avoided responsibility.
When I finally reached the duty manager, Mr. Saddam, he was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. He refused to take responsibility, told me to “go back to Booking” even after Booking confirmed the refund must come from the hotel, and later ignored my calls. When I tried from another number, he answered—but still refused to issue the refund.
When I told him that I would write a review on Booking about this experience, he didn’t care at all and replied, “Go ahead and do what you want,” as if he was challenging me and taking it personally.
This is completely unacceptable behavior for any hotel, especially from a duty manager. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service was shocking. I am still waiting for my refund, and I strongly request that the hotel process it immediately.
Such unprofessional service not only wasted my time but also damaged my trust and reflects very poorly on the hotel’s reputation.
From the reception through to breakfast service all the staff are high professional.
My only suggestion would be to consider installing smart TVs to enhance the in-room experience, but overall, you guys are truly awesome. Keep up the great work!
One of my favorites is the club lounge, where I can relax in the afternoon. The service from Fernando, who has been here for as long as I can remember (at least the last three years), is always amazing.
The breakfast was great, and I particularly enjoyed the open, green areas of the hotel – they added a refreshing touch to the overall experience. The rooms are equipped with a smart system that automatically controls the lights and curtains, which was a nice modern feature.
However, there are a few areas that need maintenance. The rooms lack soundproofing, and it could get quite noisy at times due to sounds from neighboring rooms. The bathroom door also needs adjustment – it made loud noises when opening and closing. Additionally, there was water leaking near the cleaning hose, and although maintenance was called for both the door and faucet, the issue wasn’t fully resolved.
One suggestion for the restaurant: it would be helpful if the kitchen staff had a trolley to collect used dishes. It seemed uncomfortable for them to quickly clean tables without it.
In general, the hotel is beautiful and well-kept, and I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.
I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The gym was one of the best I’ve seen—clean, well-equipped, and perfect for anyone serious about their fitness. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend for both relaxation and staying on track with workouts!
