They do not allow even a low-watt electric cooker in the room, which made it very difficult to prepare quick food for a small baby. When I requested their kitchen to help, I was asked to pay full menu prices, showing no flexibility or understanding for families with infants.
The staff also came across as unprofessional and lacking basic courtesy. During the complimentary breakfast, I was not even allowed to take a single banana for my baby to eat later, which felt unreasonable and insensitive.
I would strongly advise families with young children to avoid this hotel. They hide behind rigid “policies” while showing no empathy, which is unacceptable for a property that claims to be 5-star.
Stayed at Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Dubai — overall a very good experience. Rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding and all essential amenities. The staff was polite, quick to respond, and very helpful throughout the stay.
The location is excellent, close to shopping areas and easy access to public transport. Breakfast spread was good with plenty of options. Rooftop pool area gives a nice city view.
A bit of improvement can be made in pricing, as some services feel slightly on the higher side, but overall a great stay and definitely recommended.
Strategically located, the hotel offered easy access to a variety of eateries and convenient supermarkets, just a short walk away. Although venturing outside required braving the heat, the proximity to these amenities was a definite plus.
I had one of the most disappointing check-in experiences at Park Regis Hotel, despite booking through Booking.com for *two adults*. At check-in, I was denied entry because the booking was under my companion’s name and the hotel insisted that a physical ID from that person must be presented. I explained that Booking.com does not provide an option to add a second guest name during the reservation process. Instead of offering a practical solution, the staff told me I should have written it under the “special requests” section—something that is far from obvious for guests.
To resolve the issue, I even put my companion on speakerphone to confirm that modifying the booking online wasn’t possible. Only then did the hotel ask for a deposit (first 300, then I offered 500) and finally allowed me to proceed. Which is the solution he could have provided in the beginning.
What made this worse was the way it was handled by one staff member, **Mr. Amal**, who, instead of assisting, chose to argue and lecture me about hotel policies. His tone was dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. When I pointed out Booking.com’s limitations and asked that the hotel coordinate with them directly, he said, “they are a third party” and shifted responsibility back on me. At one point, he even threatened to cancel my booking if I blamed the staff. This was not only unhelpful but also extremely unprofessional for someone in the service industry.
After a long day of travel, the last thing a guest needs is unnecessary drama at the front desk. A simple situation could have been handled with courtesy and problem-solving, but instead it turned into a frustrating ordeal that drained my energy.
**The rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable, which was the only saving grace.** However, the check-in experience—particularly the rudeness and lack of empathy from the staff—was extremely disappointing. A hotel stay should begin with hospitality, not hostility.
Location midway between old and new Dubai, therefore, good in case you wish to explore both sides.
Staff in general is not accommodating or at times clueless. I reached the hotel an hour and a half before the check in. They made me wait till the check in time and since I was allowed to go to the pool area at the top, I could see that there were many rooms available and prepared but still they had to make me and others wait till the check in time. So I didn’t find staff (could be governed by management rules) accommodating or helpful. I’d like to mention though one of them, Mr Shukur, was still polite and helpful.
Also try NOT book tour packages from their travel desk. They quote higher than the general market price.
