H10 Puerta de Alcala

The hotel is well located, very modern. Friendly staff and my room was spacious and very clean. Hotel has a roof top terrace which consists of a plunge pool and a small sun bathing area- you require to book a 1 hour slot for the sun bathing area.

Great location and only short walk from the nearest metro station ‘Príncipe De Vergara’ or ‘Ibiza’ and the beautiful park ‘Parque Del Rel Retiro’.
When we arrived we was offered a lovely glass of Cava which was a nice surprise while we checked in.
Good sized comfortable bedroom, towels changed daily and rooms made up. Complimentary toiletries and a Nepresso machine in the room.
Rooms also have a mini fridge which we used to store water.

What was really great about this hotel was the rooftop pool. Yes it’s not huge but great to cool off in after a day sight seeing especially when Temperatures are hitting 35-40 degrees. You do have to book and out of the 4 days there we managed to book sunbeds for two days we used the pool (you can reserve for an hour per day which seems fair to me to give all guest a chance to use the sunbeds).

Yes the elevators are slow in the hotel but it’s not the end of the world especially a few trips up and down the stairs to walk off the tapas and Rioja.

Really had an enjoyable stay. Very modern clean hotel.

Lovely hotel, wonderful staff and great location.

I've stayed at a H10 before in Malaga so I like the chain. Unfortunately this hotel didn't provide slippers and robes or have rituals products in the bathroom like the last one. I expected some consistency between hotels here so didn't pack a robe or slippers, asked at reception and they don't provide them here. Disappointing.

Main downside was the rooftop terrace. There was constantly a sign up in the hotel lobby saying the terrace was at full capacity. The pool is only a plunge pool that's 90cm deep so you can't actually swim in it but there's a promotional video of a woman diving into the pool! You'd crack your head open in reality!

There were only 5 or 6 lounge beds that were always full. You also have to walk through the rooftop terrace restaurant to get to it which isn't comfortable when in swimwear.

Considering we chose to stay here over another hotel because of the pool, it was disappointing and my mum didn't end up using it as a result.

Despite that, the hotel was lovely, breakfast was great, staff were excellent and the location is perfect for a quieter madrid, metro connections, easy walks and local wine bars nearby.

I stayed here for 5 nights on a recent trip to Spain with my niece and one of her friends. This hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful! We were given an option of cava or water when we checked in. The ladies at the desk gave us suggestions about places to grab a quick bite to eat because we arrived too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Our room was a little small for the three of us but we were only there to shower and sleep. The girls did check out the rooftop pool. It was small and the first time they couldn’t find a chair but the next time they went they were able to get one. The hotel location is great: it is near Retiro Park and we enjoyed a stroll through the park and relaxing by the lake there and a metro is only about a three minute walk. It’s on a major street so catching a taxi was easy and convenient too. Every day we were left chocolates and fresh bottles of water. Our first night they delivered some frozen sweet treats and on my birthday I had a bottle of cava, three pieces of cake and a birthday card. If you are a member of the H10 Club you received a voucher for a free drink for you and your companion at the bar. If felt like this hotel went above and beyond with service and truly made our stay special. Would definitely consider staying here again when I come back to Madrid!

Wonderful roof top open bar restaurant with magnificent city view. Excellent cocktails and peppers appetizer. Room clean. Excellent bedding. Excellent breakfast buffet. Coffee maker in room great. Excellent location. Helpful staff.

Over for the Madrid Tennis Open.
The hotel is very well maintained and central. The metro is also only a 3 minute walk away and can reach the airport from it.
Staff were very good also. Only qualm was that we stayed in room 220 which though very clean and modern it was very small.
Still, didn’t come to Madrid to stay in a hotel room and I would stay here again

Stayed here in october. Lovely hotel, staff were nice, perfect location. Amazing view from rooftop restaurant. Food was gorgeous and service was very good, waiters very friendly made the experience very pleasant. Downside to my visit was the pool was not open - I can understand being October however during my visit it was 30 degrees Celsius where these circumstances should be an exception. Room was clean, bathroom was lovely and spacious with good light.

This is THE best hotel I have stayed at. The attention to detail that the staff provides is unmatched. During check in I asked about a crib being brought up and Eva assured me that one would be brought up without any issues or hesitation, me and Eva talked about the reason for our trip and I mentioned I was celebrating my 30th bday. Once we got to our room the cleanliness, ample space, and view of the city left us feeling happy about our hotel choice. Before heading out for some sight seeing a crib was brought up, with an extra towel, little stuffed animal, and body wash for babies, this small act really shows how about and beyond they go. When we returned back to the room we were met with a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake and a sign that said Happy Birthday! I was beyond surprised and blown away by this gesture. During our stay we visited the bar twice, and both times Alonso provided exceptional service. Not only were the drinks and appetizers amazing, his ability to build rapport and remembering us the second time we went really went a long way. I would stay here over and over again

Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Rooms were a little small but they did exactly what we needed so not much to complain about. Also, excellent roof top bar.
