FH55 Grand Hotel Palatino

We booked this hotel after looking at the many good reviews. We decided to book the blue room since we were told that they are brand new (from right before the Covid pandemic started). At the reception the staff was very friendly. Upon entering the room we noticed that the maintenance of the room was not as expected, linings of the bath were yellowed stained, edges of the walls of the room not intact, the fridge didn’t work properly, walls paper thin and you can hear conversations from the rooms next door. Right on the first night there was a leak in the bathroom that seemed to come from the wall, we called the reception and they sent a very friendly older man. He said that he doesn’t see anything off and anyways he wouldn’t be able to fix it because he’s not the maintenance guy. Nothing was dine the day after either. On the day before last the water in the shower wasn’t as hot as the previous days. Again we called the reception, however this time we needed to call 3 times until an hour and a half later they finally sent someone. Also this guy said he’s not maintenance and that they’ll only be able to fix it the next morning, but since we were leaving it wasn’t relevant anymore. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. Location was great and walking distance from all the touristic sites. All in all we will not be back at this hotel.
