Crowne Plaza Istanbul - Old City, an IHG Hotel

The hotel makes a great first impression with its elegant exterior and beautifully decorated lobby. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, offering a good variety of options, and the spa area was quite acceptable given the price range.

The standout feature of our stay was the staff. They were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our visit. I’d particularly like to commend the breakfast staff for their excellent service and the lobby team who assisted us with our luggage and ensured a smooth departure. Their professionalism truly gave us a five-star experience.

However, the most significant drawback was the room size. At check-in, the staff kindly suggested that we consider upgrading since we were traveling with our infant. I chose not to upgrade, assuming the standard room would be adequately sized. Unfortunately, the room was much smaller than expected. The queen-size bed barely fit, and the additional baby bed left no space to move around. The bathroom was also very compact, with the door swing occupying the entire standing area, making it difficult to navigate.

While the hotel’s service and amenities were excellent, the limited room space detracted from our overall comfort. If you’re traveling with a family or require more space, I’d highly recommend opting for a room upgrade.

I just had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel! The location is fantastic, making it super easy to explore historic places and local bazaars. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Big thanks to Yu Thiri Mon for doing an amazing job cleaning our room; she really made our stay even better. We’d definitely love to come back and stay again! Highly recommend it!

Overall very good hotel, unfortunately we found during our 7 days stay service being either very good or rather poor. Breakfast was good but also not consistently (especially choices of food but also clearing tables after breakfast to get them ready for next guests).
Spa is little minimal, especially Hamam was not heated, one day sauna was not on in the evening.
Despite all that, we had a good time, room was clean and spacious.

The hotel is refined and in a great location. You can easily walk to the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. The room is clean and elegant. The shower is wonderful. The breakfast is excellent, varied and plentiful. The staff is very kind. The girl named Zümrüt is very polite, she took great care to ensure that we did not miss anything during breakfast. Highly recommended

Wonderful staff, friendly jovial. Breakfast spread is delightful, Nezahat, in particular, their chef, bot only makes great custom omelettes, but adds a spice of humour and friendly conversation. Faruk was very attentive and served us well.. Delightful! No wonder it’s called Turkish Delights !

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my family while staying in Istanbul. It's a beautiful hotel located near the Tranva. The breakfast is nicely set up. Besides all of the amenities in this hotel, the staff is unbelievable. They are tentative, helpful, professional. Thank you crown plaza staff for making our stay so wonderful. And thank you Zumrut, you made our mornings special with your great smile and helpfulness.
