The hotel itself is definitely not a 5 star, It might have been when it was first built but in order to maintain that 5 star quality, it needs to evolve with the times… it’s need a lot of TLC, you can always tell with the bathroom how old things are. You can also tell it’s not a modern 5 star hotel because the breakfast is not great. If there is any melons and fresh fruits (not the canned stuff they had) take that, at least it’s fresh. If your orange juice is not fresh with pulp and it looks orange coloured, not yellow- it’s definitely a low quality hotel in the food side, if you book this hotel by choice and not for health tourism or with a tour group or it was part of a package, please don’t pay for the breakfast, go to the cafe just outside to the right and have a hotel breakfast there, I promise you, it will have flavour and you won’t be disappointed. You most definitely will be disappointed if you actually paid for breakfast here. You will also be disappointed if you ate at the restaurant for lunch or dinner here, service isn’t great, options are bizzare and food is dry and bland and not worth the hotel mark up prices. Again, save yourself the disappointment and go to the cafe next door, the food has flavour and many options even if you can’t chew your food, the soup and mash and pasta are great. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant, the atmosphere is so depressing. Other than this, I find the hotel room is ok, it’s a good size, I had a sofa and a long desk, shower pressure was good in my room, room was cleaned each day, that’s all I really expected with a hotel I didn’t book myself. take your Amazon fire stick and watch your own tv- make life easier if you tend to find hotel tv difficult to find something you’d enjoy. Finally, I’d say that all these reviews complaining about the mini bar prices- guys- just don’t take anything from the mini bar- everyone knows the mark up is the highest- just buy else’s where (don’t you guys watch friends!) be prepared to take taxi everywhere and each trip about 30mins because there is tons of traffic all day everyday.
