Reviews
However don’t expect much else. Due to it’s location, rooms are very small, there is no view. Two whole sides of the building are 5-10 meters from the next. Since it is not tall, there is no view and you can hear the diesel generator when there is a power outage.
Corridors are not vacuumed. Photos are misleading.
We spent 4 nights in this hotel and the first one was so bad. We had trouble with a broken window. We arrived after 10 hour drive, it took them 40 minutes to find our rooms and check us in, and then we found out the window is broken (the hinge did not close) so in the room was as noisy as it was outside. Since the room was facing a street with multiple restaurants, it was noisy until 1 am. We made multiple complaints, but our room was not changed. Not only did they not offer to change our room, but they point blank refused, and lied that there are no rooms available, while we saw on Booking that they did have rooms.
The next day was not better, thanks to one kind concierge we were able to switch rooms in the evening after multiple back and forth discussions. The worst part is that the person at reception was extremely rude and continued to be so during our stay.
We requested to speak to the manager, but this was not possible.
Finally, when we got back home, I was contacted by customer service via WhatsApp. I told them the whole story, sent pictures and videos and requested at least a partial refund and for two and a half months there was no reply. I left a review on Booking last week and today they immediately called me, offering a discount for my future stay, a free airport transfer and free breakfast.
I am obviously not going back there, so this offer is redundant.
For a hotel with 100-150 euros rate per night, the experience we got was very disappointing.
Pool was nice to use but can be cold even in 25/26 degree weather. Location was super close to everything about a 5 min walk to the main sight seeing places
Would happily return back here again
Big thank you to Ali and his sister for being so lovely at the pool area and a lovely front of house lady from Uzbekistan I think? Who provided us with info as to the trams and a few tips in navigating Istanbul
My family and I rented two rooms, on our last night we were woken up at 00:30 by reception and demanded to pay for an extra night as their booking system said we were meant to check out even though our other room was until the next day.
As much as we refused to pay since we had already and asked if we can settle this in the morning they would not let us. They demanded a payment right away. We were treated like criminals and threatened to be kicked out even though we had paid.
After paying and going to sleep the next morning, once they checked with their reservations department, they admitted fault and apologized. They apologized for making a mistake but offered no recourse on how they treated us or the fact they made us pay without checking.
They forced their mistake on to us as paying customers, I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Shocking service and behavior by the staff.
Firstly, the location. I was searching for a spot in the center, in the old city of Istanbul, where I could easily walk to major attractions and restaurants, immersing myself in the vibe of the old city. From this perspective, the hotel ticks all the boxes. Its location is absolutely brilliant.
Secondly, the reservation process was extremely simple. If you're like me, you appreciate simplicity and speed. I made a reservation on WhatsApp and paid right away. Now, comes the part where we informed them that we would arrive very early in the morning and might require early check-in due to traveling with a child. They said okay, depending on availability, and we would also need to pay for the half-day, which made perfect sense.
When we arrived at the hotel, exactly at the time we specified, they were waiting for us outside. The moment we entered the lobby, they knew who we were. I don't know how, they just requested our passports, said our room was ready, and immediately asked what they could offer. They brought us coffee, water, and whatever else we needed, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff is absolutely brilliant, all of them speaking English very well, and they are so friendly and helpful, I can't even begin to praise them enough.
The room was very spacious, and to our surprise, they upgraded us to an even bigger room for free, and didn't charge for the early check-in. The room was modern, beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioner worked perfectly well. Not like in the previous hotel where I stayed, where I couldn't sleep at all due to the heat. That was top-notch.
I don't know what else to mention, maybe the fact that whenever you call them for room service, day or night, they are at your door in a matter of minutes, bringing everything you need. They're fast, efficient, and friendly. They even gave my daughter a coloring book and pencils, and when we left in the evening and she started crying in the reception, they came after her and gave her juice. It's the small things that make the experience nice. Not only that, but they also checked on us the next day to make sure we arrived well, were safe, and everything was to our liking.
I can say loudly and clearly, we loved staying there. I recommend this hotel to all my friends. If we ever go back to Istanbul, I'm definitely staying at the same hotel. And believe me, I'm a very demanding person, and if I speak highly of this hotel, it means it's much better than I can even describe. One thing is very clear, the management is exceptional because what you see in the hotel is a reflection of the management. The management is exceptional, the staff is exceptional, and everything is very well put together. So, I can only recommend this from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for our wonderful experience, your kindness, and everything you did for us.
the hotel feels more like a 4-star Hotel instead of a 5-star though hence the 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
rooms are spacious and the bathroom has like mirrors everywhere (i've never seen a mirror door before this was the first).
It's close to everything (tourist attractions) so bang for your buck if you want to be close to everything!
Haven't used the pool/spa/sauna because we didn't want to waste too much time on those activities. Hotel staff is nice and friendly.
