Nice hotel with good sized 3 beds rooms. A small nice outdoor swimming pool was really nice for kids to enjoy. Minutes away from all the historic Istanbul attractions.

The location of the hotel was amazing - less than 5 minute walk to Blue mosque. Everything was within walking distance. Amenities included were great too.

Staff were amazing and made us feel really welcomed everyday even when checking in at 2am. breakfast was good and had a good range not great but had enough to fill us up. Room was great and we got a free upgrade without asking. Location is great 4 min walk to blue mosque, 7 mins to Hagia Sophia. Would stay again

We booked 3 rooms here for 8 nights and we had an amazing time!
The staff went above and beyond to say the least. Yasin, Daminda, and the rest of the staff at breakfast were all amazing. They have quick service and they're always happy to help. Yasin went out of his way multiple times to accommodate our large group.
Cleaning staff was always efficient and great.
The location is extremely convenient, close to all the major attractions and restaurants right outside. The rooms were spacious and uniquely designed. Plus point, you can see the Blue mosque from the breakfast spot!
We would definitely return here & recommend it to our friends and family!

It was our honeymoon and we got a free upgrade from Attic room to the deluxe double room which was absolutely gorgeous and spacious with an amazing view to the blue mosque from our balcony, the breakfast was included and the buffet would change everyday, the staff was amazing, friendly and extremely helpful from the receptionist, the waitresses, the housekeeper to the concierge! The spa was a delight and we had free access to the Hammam and the steaming room! And you can not find a better location than this hotel for exploring Istanbul, everything is a few minutes walk away from it, it was a magical experience and the hotel made it even better thank you so much!! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at their sister hotel just across the road (Sura Hagia), but had our breakfast at Design. The spread here was much better than ours and also a great view of the Sophia Hagia and the Blue mosque.
But the best part was excellent service and personalized attention that one of the staffs, Daminda gave us. His service was so good that we missed his good manners, smiling face and eager help when we had breakfast at our regular hotel.
While we didn't stay at Design, would recommend this place for breakfast and good staff service.

Shadowing some other comments - location is fantastic. Minutes away from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and generally everything you want to see. Restaurants and shops near by.
However, that’s probably the only good thing about this hotel. Check in was slow, the staff was rude and dismissive. The luggage staff is excellent, they were helpful.
My room was cramped, had the bare minimum amenities, and the bathroom smelled like mold. The bathroom just felt uncomfortable to be in. The A/C in the room also did not work. I don’t know by what measure this can be considered a 5-star hotel. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and at best, this is 3-stars.
Since there are restaurants on the same street, be ready to hear music until 1-2AM even with the windows closed. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay - I’d recommend against staying here.

Location is perfect but we were given a room at -1 and that didn’t feel like it was what we ordered. There was little to no natural light- there was also constant very light piano music. We informed the lobby who sent someone and that person immediately started to unplug a certain speaker in the room although the music wasn’t coming from the speaker - no solution until suddenly at 11pm the music stopped. When returning to our room around 5pm the next day we found a paper mentioning the Istanbul marathon which could impact our travel back to the airport. Why informing us the day before the marathon and not when we book? It feels that getting the booking and the money is more important than customer experience.

The hotel, compared to hotels of its level in the same area, is considered excellent The staff, including reception, valet parking, and the spa, are all wonderful Especially Brother Youssef, he was an Arabic speaker and served us throughout our stay. He was always smiling and did not hesitate to provide any assistance at all times. The hotel staff upgraded our stay to a suite and furnished and decorated it for free just because they knew we were on a honeymoon. I recommend it. It is close to all services, restaurants, and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, just a few minutes walk

We recently stayed at Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel for our anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They surprised us by beautifully decorating our room for the occasion, which was such a thoughtful touch. To our delight, they also offered us a complimentary upgrade to a room with an incredible view of the Hagia Sophia, which made our stay even more magical. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring the historic sights of Istanbul, and the service was exceptional throughout. We can’t recommend Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel enough for anyone looking for a truly special and memorable stay!
