Great Fortune Hotel & Spa

The only advantage of the hotel is location.
The rooms are needed to be repaired, no holder for the shower. From 8 bottles with hair conditioner/body lotion/shower gel and shampoo, there wasn’t shampoo, key wasn’t working. We had 3 beds in the room, I was staying with my wife. There wasn’t robe in the room.
The breakfast are awful/there is no breakfast, it’s from 8 to 10:30, we came at 9:45 and there was no food, was strange smell and plates of different size.
SPA, needs to be renovated, strange smell in the steam.

The dodgiest hotel I have stayed at . DONOT book if . when with my parents and take their book to Room arrived at 11 o’clock and wanted to leave our luggage and go out before the official check in time at two but the reception said you can have the room and we will upgrade you they issued us the room they guy from the reception went up with us only to find out both the room that have been allocated to people living in them and they wipe the people came out of the room they said don’t worry we will arrange you a new room in two minutes. They gave us another 15 minutes and then we went out came back and then we were given our other room requested wheelchair for my parents and let them know before only to find out the only wheelchair they had had no front feet for for my dad It was unusable, which was very very difficult for us. Came back later in the day my brother accidentally thought Card on a different room and get what the room open and they were people living inside the next day and my mom came back to the hotel. She kept swiping her card and it wouldn’t open the room , So basically, this hotel is really unsafe and anybody can just swipe a card and walk into your room just swipe the card and walk into your room and steal your stuff or your passport . The breakfast was so bad with the running out every single day to the point we did not even had coffee or tea they both finished

It was my first visit of Istanbul and totally disappointed with this hotel as photos were against reality unfortunately.
Safety of building really was matter as walls were thin and marks of age and cracks are all over the building , rooms , ceiling and you can clearly hear voice and sounds from other rooms plus noises during all day from early morning until late , due to building concentration in the hotel street . One word No rest at all !!! I was taking breakfast in my plate which noticed water was dropping to my plate from ceiling. I will post the photos . Photos in website are very shiny and clean and new which in reality are very old , disappointing and about breakfast even totally different photos which was very low quality. Pool so filthy which we didn’t dare to use at all . Sauna and steam wasn’t bad apart from cleanliness and very early closing time in the evening . Location wasn’t our priority and it is located near some mosques and bazar . Which it was all over Istanbul as far as I found it , not big deal . We paid 600 £ for 7 nights which is really so high for this place ( it was on sale !!!!) not worth at all . No facility for disabled as ram in front of building is very sharp and no other facilities as well . Our first room was extremely small and dark which I asked them to changed a bit bigger room and same problem was at that room too , noise , unsafe and both mini bar almost not working and warm .

The only positive thing I can be honest it was nice staff especially cleaner lady .
Which so friendly and helpful who I appreciated. To be honest. If we could refund never continue to stay in this place and really were very upset & experienced worse holiday so far in our life so far . With this money you can stay in very nice and great quality of hotel even in uk . I really surprised how could be 4 star hotel this place .

I booked a room at Grand Fortune Hotel & Spa through StayForLong, based on the beautiful pictures I saw online. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had an economy room in the basement with no windows, which was completely different from what was advertised. To get a room similar to what I thought I had booked, I was forced to pay an additional £90.

To make matters worse, there was no water in the bathroom. When I reported this to the reception, they claimed the entire area had no water, which was a blatant lie. A nearby hotel just steps away had no such issues. Additionally, there was no electricity, resulting in me getting stuck in the dark in the lift.

The room I upgraded to, which I saw in the pictures when purchasing, was shockingly small. To top it all off, random people walked into our room for no reason, even though housekeeping had already completed their service.

This hotel is a complete scam. Many other guests I spoke with had the same experience. Despite being advertised as a 4-star hotel, it deserves 0 stars. Avoid this place at all costs!
