Reviews
The room was painfully outdated, and calling it "standard" is generous. The bed reeked of smoke, with a cigarette burn in the sheet and pillows that looked like they'd been beaten into submission. There was a bathtub, yet no plug, rendering it utterly useless. When we requested one, the staff casually shrugged it off with no plug to offer, no discount, no room change—no solution.
And the pool area? Here, things went from disappointing to outright intrusive. The tiles were cracked and missing, the water was murky, and within hours I had a skin reaction. My partner and I were also quietly enjoying the spa, with nothing beyond playful, innocent interactions—no physical intimacy. Yet a staff member approached, telling us to "keep our distance" because children were around. This absurd accusation was not only unwarranted but invasive. We held hands, exchanged lighthearted conversation, and somehow, this was deemed inappropriate. To have our relationship scrutinised and policed like that—based on nothing—is astonishing and offensive.
The staff continued to monitor us in the jacuzzi.
The room had another red flag: a QR code promising free coffee for positive reviews. Clearly, they’re bribing guests to gloss over bad experiences, which speaks volumes about how insecure they are about the service quality. A genuinely good hotel wouldn’t need such tactics.
In over 17 countries, I've never faced such treatment. This was appalling and uncomfortable, casting an unwelcome shadow over our entire stay. To be monitored, judged, and needlessly reprimanded was a disgusting breach of privacy and respect. This hotel's handling of its guests is as outdated as its facilities.
Some notable incidences:
1. Hotel was a lot older than advertised (not a big issue, but it gets worse).
2. Phone in the room was not working. Had to go down physically to the lobby reception to report this. Technician came to the room ~15min later, took another ~15min, couldn’t fix it. Came back with another phone to replace, took another ~15min, still couldn’t fix it. Was told to switch rooms.
3. QR code to order room service was not working. Had to go down to the lobby reception (because my room phone wasn’t working), and the staff commented “Ah yes some of our codes are not working, please use this instead” before showing me a different QR code to scan. How hard is it to replace old QR codes for your rooms? Ultimately, I had to go to the restaurant physically to order my food.
4. The room lock is jammed; had to drive my shoulder into the door to get it to lock.
5. The shower head is leaking at its side.
6. Rain shower is jammed and faulty, unable to switch to it.
7. Water temperature fluctuates from hot to cold randomly. Sometimes, only lukewarm water was available even though the knob was turned to the maximum temperature.
8. One of the lifts I entered, the lobby button was jammed and couldn’t be pressed.
9. Breakfast is bad; lots of fried food which presumably was impossible to mess up, but nuggets were tough and cold.
10. When I returned on one of the nights, there was only 1 pillow left on my bed. After some searching, I found the other 3 pillows left in the cupboard (How hard is it to place them back on the bed after housekeeping?).
11. The mirror is heated to prevent condensation but only the bottom half is heated, meaning my face is still foggy but my crotch is absolutely clear (What is the point..?).
12. Was told by reception the gym closes at 9pm, but when I went to the gym to check, found out it closes at 1030pm instead.
The incidences stated above - while may not be major when viewed in isolation - as a whole show a blatant lack of effort and care towards providing a good and pleasant experience for hotel guests. Apart from a couple of friendly staffs, this hotel has no redeeming factors. I would strongly recommend everyone to think twice before staying at this hotel.
Even that hotel classify it self as 5 Star hotel. It is not.
We arrived at the hotel late 8pm and we were tired after flight, so decided to go to their "Bistro restaurant". When we come there it was empty I'm talking about customers and staff. After we found someone and have been seated, we was given QR for the menu.
There was not many options, menu isn't helpful as it not describes anything and some options from the menu wasn't available. We choose "seafood pizza" and "beef noodle". Noodles was microwave, wasn't tasty at all, and "seafood pizza" only had tuna, calamari and oil. Disgraceful.
Every lift missing a button, rooms look ok on first glance but when you dig deeper you see dirt, ripped stuff, dust and broken something.
Cleaner visited a room even if asked not to, and we had "Do not disturb". So sometimes we couldn't rest properly.
Hotel has two pools indoor and outdoor. Indoor pool is free, outdoor is little fee but still I was expecting a bit more from 5* hotel. It is not a big problem.
The staff wasn't very welcoming and not everyone speaks English, I would say they "trying to pretend" that they do.
We booked a room with sea view, not being dishonest we did see sea but from the side and I was expecting more...
The breakfast isn't good and isn't bad there is many options to choose and I think everyone can find something to eat. But every day it is the same food. And from that price and 5* star hotel I expected much more.
And location it's self isn't that good for local cafe or malls.
Breakfast is every day the same, if something is finishing, no one is gonna refresh these choices. Veggies and fruits not fresh or even clean - hello diseases and vomiting.
Restaurant bistro is another level of stupidity. Waiters are not speaking English, at all. Food is disgusting. I've ordered seafood pizza and there was (I think) defrosted pizza with maybe 3ps of shrimps, slices of salmon and tune (all from a can). Totally different than in a photo. My friend ordered vegetable pasta the other day: pasta, ketchup "source" and 1 cherry tomato. 🤦🏻♀️
Service in general is very very very bad.
Cleaning is not good, sometimes they forget to empty your trash bin.
The room was old and a couple of things were broken.
Don't recommend it.
Dear friends, imagine that you cannot use the outdoor pool unless you pay an amount of 750 liras per person... knowing that we paid 200 dollars for staying and swimming... and in all rudeness, we are told that the hotel’s outdoor pool, which is present in all the pictures of the hotel, does not belong to them, but to another company. !
Firstly, there is no one to take our bags upon arrival or exit. We sat there several times and each time we loaded and unloaded our luggage on our own.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the rooms is not good. We found a water jug containing used tea, and the bathroom was not clean.
Thirdly, I called reception several times and no one answered every time, and when they answered, my request was fulfilled. They said okay and they didn't come.
I am writing this comment as I was staying at this hotel today...... The room service never came to clean....I went down to the reception and asked for them to come twice and they did not come! You can imagine a hotel worth $100 per night, and they do not come to clean.... Yes, this is our last time in this hotel, and if there was a rating of less than one star, I would have put it down.
The only good thing was that they gave us a bigger room because we had a child and a lot of bags. I was happy about that...I hope they change the person in charge to deal with all these issues....as the hotel location and view are good
