We had one of the most carefree holidays at this hotel. We chose this hotel because it has consistently held one of the highest ratings on the Bulgarian seaside for many years, and it is renowned for its constant quality of service and professionalism from staff at all levels. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and the reception staff were amazing and very helpful. The level of service truly matched that of a 5-star hotel. The bars and restaurants offered an excellent variety of high-quality food and drinks. The hotel has two large main restaurants providing a vast selection of fresh, well-prepared dishes, including various international cuisines. There was always a tasty variety of meats, salads, fruits, and desserts. Even as someone particular about coffee, I found the coffee to be of very good quality. The hotel boasts huge outdoor spaces, including a pleasant garden area and different types of pools. The pools were accessible at all times, never overcrowded, and conveniently located near outdoor bars. Additionally, the hotel has its own private beach area, where there were always sun loungers and umbrellas available. The entertainment programme at the hotel was exceptional, with a very professional and high-standard offering tailored for all ages. The animation team provided plenty of engaging activities for both children and adults, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The evening shows were also of top-notch quality and very professional. The restaurant staff were always friendly and greeted us with a smile. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and immaculately clean. Housekeeping was diligent, with the rooms cleaned regularly, and the outdoor areas and restaurants were also very well maintained. Tips: The hotel features several smaller, themed restaurants (Bulgarian, Italian, and American) that are open on specific evenings. The food there is excellent, but it is necessary to book in advance, which I recommend doing as soon as you arrive. Some sports activities are also in high demand, so keep an eye on the announcement board to secure your bookings. The staff speak English and other European languages, which made communication seamless. Overall, this was an unforgettable holiday at a truly high-class hotel. The outstanding service and fantastic professional management made all the difference. We can’t wait to return in 2025!

This was one of my best experiences overall, I booked "The Level" in this hotel and that is an option that gives you access to some really nice things and in my book. Totally worth it and just made my holiday a stress free and excellent experience. The areas that are available as "the level" was above and beyond. The restaurant is quieter and not very crowded, you get table service for drinks and you could always find a table. The extended time for breakfast (to 11 instead of 10) let's you have a non stressful morning and the pool area for the level was also great, always sunbeds available and some peace and quiet. On top of that you have the lounge on floor 8 that was also excellent to take it easy in with a perfect view of the ocean. The rooms where also big, clean and with an awesome bathroom. With both separate shower and bathtub. I also really enjoyed the cold water dispenser in the floor 8 hallway. Will come again and would love to stay longer as well. I once visited the main restaurant below to check it out and the difference was night and day in stresslevel, specially as a lone traveler that is used to have to almost fight for a table at other hotels. Super happy with my stay but the food could have been more varied in the level restaurant if there is anything to take note of.

The Hotel is nice and clean, but staff is not great and needs trainning. They also don’t do much to resolve any issues reported. Overall our stay was good, and could have been great with a little more help from hotel staff.
Do not expect 5* service from staff, we had better service on a 3*.
We chose the Level package, which offers a quieter restaurant, but even there the staff was the same, only a few make you feel welcome.

It is a beautiful hotel, perfect for a family vacation. The rooms are spacious and very clean, every day they come to clean and change the towels. The food is good and varied. They have artistic programs every day, clean pools, quality sunbeds and in 2 minutes you reach the beach. Hotel staff is very kind. We felt wonderful, we will definitely come back.

For a family with a 14 year boy, it was perfect. We chose the Level and it was more that we expected: special restaurant, special pool, special sea view bar. The beach was ok, but the old custom of tourists to occupy the deck chairs with towels from 6.30 in the morning ( and they came to the beach at 11.00-12.00) it was not so pleasant.

This was a great choice for our holiday. From the time we arrived, to the time we left, we experienced a high level of service and accommodating staff. We choose to purchase the "the level" upgrade, which in our opinion, is a wise choice. Rooms: The rooms are very spacious, well kept and clean. The beds are big and wide and both of us slept extremly well. We purchased a seaview room, which was a good choice. The daily cleaning was very satisfactory and of high standard. The life saving air conditioning worked very satisfactory. The hotels was quiet at night and we had no problems with noise or sutch. Restaurants: The main restaurant could be very busy at times. But as we purchased "The Level" upgrade, we had the option to eat at a more quiet restaurant only for The level guests. There where a wide variety of different food to choose from, combined with daily specialities. Ex. sushi (some days). Other options to choose from were an American, Italien and bulgarian restaurants which we did not try. During the day, other options were avaliable. Burger, Pizza and sandwich, combined with a variety of soft drinks and alchoholic beverages and coffee. Pool and activities: The main pool was very nice and there we allmost allways available sunchairs. "The Level" upgrade gave access to a private and more quiet pool sorrounded by a spacious park area with sunbeds. The area also gave access to a private bar and lounge area. During the day the staff would come by and take drink orders or bring icecream when possible. The animation team made great efforts to activate any guest who wanted to participate. Water aerobics, dart, yoga, pool volleyball and waterpolo where daily arranged. Outside the hotel you had the option to explore the markeds, small shops, bars and restaurantes, if you wanted to. All in all, this was a great hotel to stay in. We experiensed no problems at all and everywhere we went, we were met by a positive and accommodation staff. We would certainly come back!

The hotel has nice rooms, sufficiently large with spacious and well-equipped bathrooms. However, the restaurant could offer a wider selection of dishes. I recommend using the Al Dente restaurant and placing an order to your room (once per stay). Unfortunately, the hotel has a shortage of pools, which are therefore overcrowded most of the time. Fortunately, there is also a large indoor pool available. There are two outdoor water slides that are okay and one U-shaped slide, which is an interesting attraction. Unfortunately, the lifeguards are somewhat incompetent and don't know how to provide proper service. The hotel's sandy beach is a bit far and mostly crowded. In the water, you need to watch out for large rocks. The biggest downside of the hotel: Unfortunately, in the area where the children's mini discos take place, there is a constant smell of sewage, which is something you don't want to experience, especially in a hotel with so many stars. Therefore, I can't give more than 3 stars.
P.S.: Good thing at the end: there is "no reservation service" for pool sunbads, so no morning sprints necessary.

2 things that I do not like:
1. The tourists that leave their towels in the sunbeds to “occupy” their seat. Maybe you should consider making a beach only for level tourists.
2. The cocktails have a weird taste in a paper cup. Maybe you should consider serving them in glasses.

We had really enjoyed our stay at Melia grand, in my opinion it’s the perfect hotel for family vacation. I don’t understand the bad reviews. We were there at the highest season alot of families and the staff were great at doing everything as it should be, they were very helpful and active. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The food was delicious and varied, alot of food all day long for both childrens and adults. The slides were perfect for the kids, they had much fun. The animation team were perfect and energetic in a really great way, the hotel should be very proud of such a team. The private beach is beautiful and very close to the hotel (100 meters walking distance) The park and greenary around the hotel is beautiful. They have shows every night for kids and the whole family. And you can go walking outside the hotel where there is alot of stores and restaurants and games around. There is really nothing to complain about. We will come back

Hotel is rather dated. The room was clean enough but nothing special. We chose ‘the level’ and were glad that we did. It gave us access to a separate pool (the main pool was overcrowded and there were not enough sunbeds. There was constant music pumping out from speakers there as well). It also gave us access to a different eating area which was calmer than the main food hall. Food quality was average. All inclusive drinks and ice cream was quite nice especially for the kids. There are a lot of activities every day, which is also good for the kids. The private beach area is also nice especially as you can get drinks there as well.
