Just returned from a one week stay at this hotel with my son who is 11 years old and my parents who are in their 70's We'd read a lot of negative reviews before we arrived but overall, we could not fault it. Those people who pay for a 3 star hotel but expect a 5 star service seriously need to re-evaluate their expectations and those that complain about cracked tiles and other minor faults need to remember they're on holiday, not health and safety inspectors! The hotel is in a lovely location, not far from a few local shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a bus stop aswell just outside the hotel that costs €2 to take you directly to the waterpark in Ayia Napa via Protaras. All staff in the hotel are very friendly. A special mention to Diana who worked in the restaurant. As it was towards the end of the season when we arrived, there was no animation team and evening entertainment was limited so I am unable to comment on this. The pool area was kept very clean and tidy with plenty of sunbeds and parasols available. Good selection of all inclusive drinks available including freshly made cocktails and mocktails, alcoholic and soft drinks aswell as hot drinks. As mentioned, as we went near the end of the season, it seemed that the food was becoming limited with less choices available. However, there was always something for everybody with a lovely selection of desserts and fresh fruit. Rooms very comfortable with an average sized balcony, air conditioning and a free safe. You do have the option should you wish to hire pool towels, hair dryer and iron. This can be arranged via reception. Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel so thank you to all the staff who work so hard.

We wanted a relaxing break in the sunshine somewhere nice and this is what we got . We noticed there were some negative reviews but overall the score was 4.5 so we weren’t overly worried and rightly so . The room was clean and bed made towels changed every day too. We had a pool view and although the rooms would’ve been nicer with more modern bathrooms , for a five day stay it was just fine . Food .. I can’t really comment as I am the fussiest eater in the world and exist on very few calories on holiday ! But my friend found the food fine and had no complaints . Bar staff were lovely and drinks were good too . Poolside .. it was end of season so no entertainment staff but that was fine for us . We loved the music that was played during the day which added to the very relaxed atmosphere . The area is lovely and we went walking every morning . There is a boardwalk you can easily walk along into Protaras which I would recommend . I would definitely revisit and would also travel there alone as it felt perfectly safe . In the height of summer the atmosphere may be different but fpr an end of season break to get away from everything it was perfect . I sometimes think that people who see a high review on Tripadvisor expect too much and think they are staying in a 5 star hotel when it is rated 3 star. Most people we spoke to were happy enough woth their stay

Good location close to excellent entertainment venues and restaurants. The town has many attractions and adjacent high quality beaches. Local Bus Services operating right outside the hotel. The Toxotis however fails to deliver on many levels. Food at the hotel is variable. Coffee machine, Juice machine in the main restaurant both broke down on the same day. Guests obliged to use 1 communal kettle. On site bar closes at 11pm. Rooms are very dated. Telephone system in the room was not connected, no point in the event of an emergency. Fire Doors on level 3 were wedged open, a total breach of fire regulations! The Lift broke down at one stage. Outside Space: Dangerous broken walkway around the Swimming Pool, which despite cleaning remained dirty during our stay Poolside beds: a high percentage are broken. Every morning there's a selection process to find a safe bed. I wouldn't choose to return to this hotel.

We got a fairly cheap last minute package deal for 7 nights flying from Liverpool. Flying from our local airport would have been double the price and would definitely not have been value for money. It was adequate for the price we paid. GOOD POINTS It was pretty quiet so there were enough sunbeds around the pool, easy to find spaces even after breakfast finished at 9am. The room was pretty spacious and we had a perfect view of sunrise from our balcony. Soft drinks from the pool at were always cold, fizzy and tasted decent. Location - easy walk to the beach where there is a great path along to Protaras and beyond. There are some good sports bars and restaurants close by and a bus stop right outside the hotel car park. Housekeeping came every day with clean towels. Chef at breakfast was happy to make tasty omelettes to order. Entertainment - singers and musicians at the pool bar in the evening were good Pool and surrounding area were clean. NOT SO GOOD POINTS Food was average at best. This is the first time we’ve chosen to eat out for lunch or dinner 4 out of 7 days when being on all inclusive basis. Very limited choices, especially for vegetarians. Salad was always fresh and tasty though! Breakfast (7-9) lunch (1-3) and dinner (6-9) with snacks from pool bar served 3.30-5 (hotdogs, burgers, salad and Pasta (ran out of the tomato based one so only bolognese available). Other than that it’s only mini magnum type ice creams (which they ran out of). We found most of the items in the kids corner were cold (onion rings, hash browns, french toast, chicken nuggets , pizza) Drinks - selection of local drinks and boxed wine - only available from pool bar outwith meal times and usually in plastic cups. The gym in the basement is tiny with a selection of really old equipment. Rooms aren’t soundproofed at all - really noisy when people are coming and going through the night and the housekeepers arrive in the morning. No ‘do not disturb’ signs so no chance of a lie in (much to the annoyance of our teenage child haha!) Not much shelf space for clothes or toiletries and we had nowhere on the balcony to dry towels etc. The place is a bit tatty and could do with a lick of paint and some basic maintenance. 3rd bed in room is very small and rock hard.

Booked for a family of 11, was a little worried after reading the reviews but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Arrived late & greeted by friendly reception staff & given sandwiches and information on the closest shop as needed milk for our son. There's only 1 small lift that can be a little temperamental but didn't phase us. Our room was nice and clean, lovely big balcony with sea view, shower worked fine and didn't flood as others have previously commented. Yes the beds are very hard. Cleaners come every day. Lovely big pool and kids enjoyed the water slides, few of the items weren't working (bucket) the lip of the kids pool was quite sharp edging not curved (little one cut his leg) but we were just mindful of this. The sun beds could have been better, as quite a few were broken but we found a few that were ok, seemed to be better wooden ones near the big pool but as we stayed near the kids pool we didn't use them. Not many umbrellas and one broke, we told the reception and the maintenance man was out within 5 mins taking it away and brought back another one, also had a problem with my safe and again he was up to sort it straight away. The bar man was lovely (hair in man bun) always happy to chat. They all worked very hard. Food was ok you could always find something, some days were better than others, always had nuggets, chips & pizza so my kids were happy. Drinks were nice. We did eat out a few nights as there were so many nice restaurants. Entertainment we didn't see any, would have been nice to have some activities around the pool for the kids, they had a singer and violinists but we didn't see them. Lots of local bars and restaurants nearby, it's a lovely walk along the boardwalk into protaras, we done this a few times. Overall it was a nice family holiday and for the price we paid we couldn't really complain, basic hotel but clean with friendly staff. A few small changes and it could be brilliant, but if you want a cheap and cheerful week away or to use it as a base then it would be ideal.

Just had 14 fantastic days at the Toxotis hotel Definitely 10/10 The beds comfortable, great air conditioning, the pool big, the food great the pool bar nice and shaded the drinks flowing and the sun shining Demetrius was magnificent and made sure things ran well in the dining room, he was one cool dude !! If Cyprus make a James Bond movie he would be the man ‍♂️ The wi-fi was a bit hit and miss and the place can do with a bit of TLC but nothing to worry about !!

1. Beds: Let’s start with the only really not great thing - The beds - bloody hard and not comfy - barely slept even with extra pillows and blankets to soften. 2. Facilities: We did not get told about the ‘hotel facilities’ on arrival and had very little contact with the reception staff. We didn’t know how anything worked we had to find that out ourselves 3. Food: Breakfast - croissants, danish, eggy bread, fruit, porridge, cereals, 3/4 milk types, full English, omelettes, continental meats, Fresh bread rolls loaves and sliced - available at every meal butter or marg Kids - generally didn’t look but saw pizza nuggets chips etc Lunch & Dinner - A full host of cold and hot foods with ‘Daily menu taste ie (Greek/italian/Libyan)’ Huge amount choice for everyone and although mass catering the service area was clean, restocked regularly and food cooked well, we are very well and had no complaints. Often the service hatch had something extra as well as a table for specials such as pancakes at breakfast or a roast joint for dinner There were always 3 or 4 meats &/fish every night (chicken, fish, pork, lamb) Salad galore Pasta dish Rice dish Sauces to allow you to adapt the taste Spices to allow you to adapt the taste Fruit apples melon orange quarters pears Puddings - generally a few cakes mousses jelly’s Drinks - coffee tea in rooms not refilled so bring or buy 4. Rooms: Refrigerator - a good size Power points - uk plugs no USB sockets ones Tv - if you want smart tv it is not one but had a number of channels but it’s an EU plug so you’d need an adaptor! Beds see above - large singles pushed to make a large king bed clean and fresh linen Towels - some looked grubby but not ours Space - small clean no storage at all Extra key/ hairdryer/ pool towel etc 20 euro deposit Shower - be prepared for a flood there is no door / curtain for shower and water gets everywhere ! The door opens into the bathroom and if someone on the loo you’d hurt their legs! Very small space Furniture etc - no mirror only one was in the bathroom - No major furniture - bedside tables are little shelves - Side board was a long shelf Dressing table but no mirror 5. Pool: clean and tidy, bit of a bun fight some Mornings for loungers. All clean working and comfy Hosed down outer area and pool hoovered around 7/7.30 daily 6. Bar: opens at 10am - midnight, ice creams, soft drinks, coffee and booze on tap all day for all inc guests. It’s clean & tidy but in a raised area with steepish steps not very accessible for disabled or less able people Bar food from 3-5 tosties, hotdog, spag bol and a lamb burger (not nice burger) 7. Gym: in the basement only found out about this on the last day it appeared to be weights only 8. Wash facilities: in the basement There appeared to be two washing machines self service no idea of cost only found in last morning 9. Shower facilities: male and female in basement for people who leave for home later in the day 10. Reception

We have recently returned from a family holiday at Toxotis and we can’t praise it highly enough. On arrival we were given a warm and friendly welcome and on the whole the staff throughout our stay were friendly and polite. The staff are some of the hardest working I have seen on holiday, each covering different aspects of guest services. Yes sometimes the bar queue was slow moving but you’re on holiday and it gives you a chance to interact with other guests. The food was excellent, always well cooked and plenty of variety. The salads were fresh and tasty and the meats were cooked to perfection. The hotel has a small and friendly feel to it which made for a very relaxing holiday and it felt like we’d been away a long time which was nice. The public areas of the hotel and the poolside were always kept clean, as were the poolside toilets. With 3 in a room space was tight but no more so than I’ve experienced in other hotels with a higher star rating. The pull out children’s bed was hard but we mentioned this to reception staff and they ensured a small mattress was provided the same day. We had pool view rooms (316 and 318) and we never experienced any issues with noise from below or in the corridor. The shower head was slightly loose but a quick fix with a loop of string solved that for the duration of our stay, it really wasn’t a major issue. The poolside activities are fun and are delivered in English and Polish so as to include all guests. The bar staff helped me learn some basic Greek which was very kind of them. The surrounding area has plenty to do at night and the busier area of Protaras is only a short bus ride away. We all had a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to our friends and family. I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews but I guess some people have unrealistic expectations. We had a great time and the days were long and relaxing, it really was a fantastic holiday.
