I loved the property! It was a really beautiful property. We stayed on the adult only side, I really liked Ana at the front desk and David at guest services. Victor, was the best professional driver and made sure we didn't miss out excursion. And Yordan our house keeper made the room very special for us with roses and made sure we had a fully stocked min fridge everyday.
The cigar employee Rosa, was very rude. On the first day my husband bought a cigars and a new lighter. She was refused to help him located a chocolate cigar, and sold us a lighter they stopped working after a few days. My husband and I went back the cigar shop several times during our trip and each time she was very rude to us. On the last night before we left, we tried to exchange the lighter. She refused to look into the book to see our purchase. KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS!!!! Or take a picture. At the end of the day she refused to exchange the lighter due to us not having a the receipt. Her customer service we terrible. That was the only down side to the trip.

Sea Blue restaurant was a truly amazing experience. We sat down to eat as the sun was setting over the ocean. The cool breeze was especially pleasant. John, our waiter greeted us with a warm smile and he kept getting better as the night went along. He try is number 1 in my book. The food and drinks were wonderful and we can’t wait to be back. Todo bien!!!

The service here was amazing especially by rosemary, she was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience here the whole team was very nice and friendly and the food was amazing. The view of the beach and sea from the restaurant was very beautiful, they also had lovely music in the background.

All inclusive hotel should make the trip as much easier as possible. But here we had to constantly make reservations to be able to have dinner, Italian restaurant served undercooked food (salmon and pizza, also I had to return my plate with raw omelet).
The prices here for anything essential is over the roof (we had to pay 10 dollars for a lighter and 45 dollars for sunscreen).
Also, all our purchases got double charged, because we paid in the store, but at the checkout they made us pay again in order to leave the hotel.
Scam, dissatisfaction and will never come back here again.

I prefer not to write a negative review of any business, but after staying in this hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience. Our wedding was in the Dominican Republic many years ago and it was unforgettable. Since then, we decided to come back and celebrate our anniversary in this beautiful country from time to time. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong hotel this time (Hotel Catalonia Royal Bávaro). We booked a special room with early check-in, late check-out based on availability, champagne upon arrival with chocolate and fruits, and other benefits. However, things did not go as planned.
We arrived early, and the room was not ready, which was understandable. However, even after our regular check-in time, the room was still not prepared. After spending an hour at the front desk, we finally checked in. To our surprise, instead of champagne, chocolate, and fruits, the room was full of ashes and smelled like a cigar shop. The manager asked us to clean the room again, and we agreed. After a few more hours at the beach, we returned to a room that was as expected (thanks to the manager who was very nice). The rest of the days were great.
On the day of our anniversary, we had a fantastic dinner at the beach with excellent service and food. However, another surprise awaited us. When we returned to the room, neither of our keys worked. I went to the front desk, and the receptionist said I had to pay for the room to get in (even though I had given my credit card at check-in). I only had my phone with me, and for some reason, Apple Pay didn’t work. The front desk representative then sent me back with a coworker to my room so I could pay with an actual card. To my surprise, the coworker didn’t take the card to open the room. We had to return to the lobby, get the card from the room, and go back to the room. When he finally opened the room, it was decorated with rose petals, but unfortunately, the romantic gesture was lost as we had to enter the room before him.

What an amazing resort! My wife and I have now been here two years in a row and will continue to come!
The main reasons we like it are because it's relatively small and quiet (not a party resort at all). Everyone is very respectful and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
We have spoken with a few other guests and they all say they are repeat customers...I can understand why!
Ezequiel at Sea Blue was amazing! Looked after us very very well and had a great attitude! Definitely recommend going to Sea Blue.

Sandra is the best server on this resort. She was super patient since we didnt speak Spanish or Portuguese very well. It was my husband’s birthday and she brought out a dessert and had the rest of the wait staff sing happy birthday to him. It was an unfortunate experience!

Everyone on the staff here has made our time amazing. From the minute we checked in and were greeted and helped to check in by Ana, to the minute we left and were sent off by Ana again, there was nothing short of spectacular . Ashly at the pool bar was phenomenal and so friendly. We loved the staff and can’t wait to be back!,

This resort was absolutely amazing- can’t say enough good things about it! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing- they had so much variety and had allergy notices on all menus (as someone with a food allergy this was very appreciated). The entertainment was awesome. They have lots of fun things to do- and it is also a great place to relax! The beach was absolutely beautiful. This was our first trip down south and certainly did not disappoint! We would 100% come back here again!

This was my second visit to Catalonia and I already look forward to returning. The employees here are so friendly and helpful at every angle. From the waiters, front desk staff, security, housekeepers, everyone greeted us with a smile and helped us any way they could. The food is excellent and the drink service is unmatched. The rooms are stunning - we had 2 rooms, a regular room and the duplex and the duplex is so worth it. The view, private pool, and amenities made our vacation that much better. 10/10 recommend this resort.
