Hotel Agua Azul - Adults Only in Benidorm

This is a lovely modern clean hotel with great staff and a good location. The only thing that lets it down was the evening entertainment. The rooms are fine with everything you need and were very clean. People have remarked on the “open plan” aspect, the sink being screened off and the glass door for the toilet but we didn’t find this an issue. The food was well presented, always hot and plenty of it, it can get a bit repetitive but there was always a good choice so again not an issue for us. There is a wide choice of drinks including cocktails in the all inclusive package and we never had to wait long to be served. All the staff were friendly, pleasant and very helpful in all the areas of the hotel. As previously stated the evening entertainment was a let down so if that is a major part of your holiday you will be disappointed. There are plenty of bars and Cabaret venues in Benidorm to visit but of course you haven’t got the benefit of the “all inclusive” All in all we had a lovely week and would consider staying here again.

Our first time in Agua Azul having previously stayed in other hotels close by. Highly recommend this hotel. Lovely clean accommodation. Food Great. Entertainment every night. Carl the entertainment rep was lovely- great personality and perfect for the job. We were all inclusive- many thanks to “ The 2 Davids “ who kept us topped up with a smile every time. This hotel has a fantastic location just on the edge of the old town (about a 4/5-minute walk) On our arrival we were recognised as previous customers, addressed by our first names which was such a lovely welcome and beginning to our Christmas stay. We were in room 212 (which we had requested) overlooking the pool and the room was exactly the same as the one we had stayed in previously. The room has all the facilities we needed with free safe, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. the beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. extra bedding is available if needed. There is ample storage space for hanging your clothes and shelving for all other items. The rain shower is wonderful. I have even got used to the washbasin being divided from the bed with a glass partition. It makes the room feel more spacious. The room and hotel are spotless and the staff do a thorough job. Towels are replaced daily if requested to do so. The food is good and varied, there is always plenty of staff on hand to help. we always go inclusive but never take advantage of the drinks package as we go into the old town every night, but we do use it for water and coffees and a soft drink with our meal so it is worth it. I have stayed in many hotels in Benidorm but have found this little gem to be the best. We had the pleasure of being at the hotel for both Christmas day lunch and New Years eve Gala buffet. Both were fantastic and well- run events; the efforts of the whole team didn’t go unnoticed. The room and tables looked very festive, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was one of celebration. We loved the extra goodies of the table ornament gift on Christmas day and the festive pack on New Years Eve (hats, streamers, masks, blowers and lays) The best asset in any hotel is the staff and their ability to help customers have an enjoyable stay. Without a doubt these staff are professional, courteous, approachable, very relatable and charming. The one area for improvement is their main entertainment space, while it is in keeping with the modern look of the hotel, it lacks any personality and it has so much more potential. It wouldn't really take much to sort it out. The layout is all wrong, the stage needs to be in the middle of the room on the back wall rather than being at the bottom of the room, all guest would have a view of what’s going on and could hear the acts performing. Then if the entertainment program gets reviewed it would be a 10/10 from us. thank you for a lovely welcoming stay, once again you guys have made our Christmas. The hotel is adults only set over 6 floors , with a superb sun terrace and pool . Only about a 5min stroll to Levante beach. Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Cleaning staff keep the rooms and hotel as clean as an operating theatre. Bar staff only to happy to serve and chat with you . Restaurant staff extremely hard working and helpful. Carl the animation guy is completely mad and extremely friendly , the entertainment is good also. The food is very english orientated with nice Spanish dishes for the more adventurous, all the food is exceptionally good and well presented. Most drinks are branded and you can ask for a bottle of wine or cava for your table . This is definitely a hotel used by the older traveller but younger people would feel at home here . This hotel is a true jewel . We will be back.

Been holidaying at this hotel since 2017 and over time standards have gone downhill,for example you used to get a pillow menu with various pillow fillings,writing pads and pens,shoe shine kit,combs,shower caps,ceramic cups not paper ones which they use now,decent entertainment.the entertainment now is awful.there are some good things about the hotel,great location,96% off staff are great,branded drinks.and the christmas day meal was fantastic.with a bit tweaking this could be a great hotel.

Our first time in Benidorm,we travelled with Jet2 and highly recommend them if you are planning a break look no further. Benidorm is fantastic,very lively but a bit brassy with the contrasting Old town with its bars,shops,and tapas bar very atmospheric.There is an excellent local bus service or you can choose the coast tram which only costs a few Euros for a 60km return ticket. The hotel? Great location,fantastic food,great staff very clean,and a very generous all inclusive policy and we have to say we really enjoyed our stay,in many respects this is close to the best place we have stayed. The downside,not very exciting entertainment and a ridiculous bathroom arrangement. We were aware of this but the reality was quite unusual. A simple glass panel between the bedroom and the bathroom.no door on the shower,and a glass door on the loo,privacy is impossible,and if you enjoy a frolic in the shower the water runs into the bedroom. The remedy,paint the glass,and put a curtain on the shower entrance. this done we would return time and time again to this outstanding hotel.

Second time here for Christmas. If you are looking for a hotel that provides decent entertainment over Christmas so you can stay in at night and have a drink, this hotel is definitely NOT for you. The entertainment on Christmas Day and Boxing Day consisted solely of 2 female dancers early one evening. That was it !!!!! Perhaps a bit of a quiz and a karaoke, but basically, that was it !!!!!! Both days. AWFUL. The lead up was slightly better but not much. In a week there was really only 1 act worth watching and that was Pablo Bloom. The other meagre acts were pretty dire. How come a hotel in Benidorm cannot put on a few acts when local pubs, i.e. Sinatras opposite, can put on 3 or 4 acts A NIGHT !! I Yet the cost to stay here is the same as other hotels who can be bothered to entertain their guests. This said, the food was most excellent. This year was far better than other all inclusives I have stayed in. It was always hot and replaced regularly and of good quality, so full marks for that. The staff also worked very hard and the drinks flowed. Next Christmas looks like the price is about £1,300 each for the week. Would I pay this next year for no entertainment, I don't think so.

Just spent Christmas at this Hotel, although guests said it’s not as good as it used to be, being our first time we couldn’t fault it, the food was excellent , the staff worked extremely hard especially on Christmas Day , tables where set out lovely all well organised by the manager , who worked nonstop to make it a wonderful day for everyone , the rooms where spotlessly clean, the reception team especially Lina always took time out to ask guest if they where alright and needed anything , very professional in her work . The only negative was the entertainment , it was awful as other guests had said, for me this is the only down side of the Agua Azul .

Great little hotel, very friendly staff, good value for money. Food is good, rooms are clean and pleasant. Struggle with the sun around the pool this time of year due to the high rise blocks in the front of the hotel. Location is great for the old town and beach (5 min) walk to both.
