The hotel has steps up to reception, there is probably a lift but I didn’t notice it. I booked a balcony room which was a decent size for me. The sink is on the right hand side as soon as walk in the room
You can request an “iron” to press your clothes but it’s not a conventional iron. It’s a handheld steamer but it does the job. The area around the hotel is quite peaceful compared to the Gran Via area
The toilet and shower are in a separate cubicle with a glass door. The room had a minibar, digital safe and a kettle. It also came with slippers and a robe which was appreciated
You are in walking distance of practically everywhere. I didn’t need to use the tube, buses or taxis. You can walk to all the major sites within 20-30 minutes and you are very near to Retiro Park
Fantastic first time experience at this property. Solianni Solis (receptionist) and Sandra Angamarca (housekeeping) were fantastic!!! Made our experience memorable
I narrowed down my choice of hotels to two and picked this one as it appeared to be in a quiet area. I am so glad that I didn’t go for the one in Gran Via

- the fruit at breakfast was not ripe so not edible. - the older receptionist at check-out was rude. Answered a phone call and while talking to the other person he arranged my business
And, very important to me, very quiet: no noise pollution from outside or from the other rooms! Also great: no music anywhere, not at the reception and not in the breakfast room
A few points for improvement:
- the restaurant turned out not to be open for lunch and dinner in the winter season, which was not mentioned when buying a room. Room service with very limited and quite expensive options
A letdown because the real receptionists were so friendly and polite. All in all a hotel I will definitely return to: very customer friendly and quiet!
A bit far from the city, but bus 161 stops in front of the door (buy a public transport card from a machine in a station and load 10 journeys on it
NB in Madrid you do not pay per distance/time, but per journey and transfers are often necessary)

My only worry is that the bathtub is very slipery even though they are handles on the sides. They have a cafeteria which is very local and restaurant with music mostly on weekends
good
would be better if on the sunny side
The only things that let the hotel down slightly are the bathrooms which are quite dated and have lots of loose fittings and also the rooms have absolutely no noise insulation so you can hear every single sound from both outside and inside the hotel
We stayed here recently for 4 nights and had a lovely time! The hotel was great overall, location was perfect for exploring Madrid, breakfast was nice and always topped up, the staff were very friendly as well
Now this isn’t the end of the world but did mean an interrupted sleep each night. Other than that, great hotel right in the centre of Madrid and would recommend to tourists looking to explore
Superbly located hotel. Staff are very nice. Room is slightly on the small size. Has a great restaurant below it.

The location is good (very close to the metro), and you can easily walk to Plaza Colón in about 25 minutes. The Chamberí neighborhood where the hotel is situated is interesting, as is the architecture of the area
We opted for breakfast at the hotel, and it was a great decision. The buffet was varied and delicious. A lovely extra touch was the lady at the breakfast station who prepared delicious coffee
This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel over the years. What truly stands out is the exceptional service from the front desk staff. Their friendliness is immediately apparent
They also stored our larger suitcases for us while we explored other countries in Europe and the UK. We were very grateful for the thoughtful gesture for my wife's birthday
The room could get a little stuffy and warm, but the air conditioner was in winter mode so I had to keep the door open more than I would have liked because it’s Madrid which can be a bit loud
Very nice!
The stay was pleasant. The room was very large and clean. While the decor is a little bit dated, it doesn’t take away much from the stay

the breakfast food was delicious and there was all day tea and coffee. the room was satisfactorily clean and neat and there was shampoo, conditioner, etc provided
Their name may be "Petit", but there's nothing small about the customer service and experience provided by Chema and his team
During the afternoon/evening period if we needed additional cutlery, use of the microwave, hot water, or ice, all was available
Short drive to Passenger Terminal Experiance Show. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. Made it very easy for English speaking person in a Spanish language country. Neighborhood was great n safe
From the moment we arrived they worked tirelessly to ensure that we were comfortable, with him personally helping us with our bags to our room
Excellent breakfast, very kind people in non-stop reception, comfortable and clean room, coffe and small snacks during the day, not far from fotball stadion...there is nothing to say more :-)

A nice restaurant at the entrance and in rooftop of the hotel to try tasty amazing selection of Pinsa's! overall a 5* for the last experience
The bathroom and shower were amazing; there was even a towel warmer! All of the staff we had the opportunity to speak with were very welcoming and kind. Highly recommend for your stay in Madrid!
Second time here and it makes an excellent base for both exploring the area - that has lots of great bars and places to eat and hotel location offers easy access to other parts of the city via public transport
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for three nights during our stay in Madrid. We booked through Expedia and the entire reservation process was seamless. The bed was very comfy & the room was spacious for the price
Location is perfect right at Bilbao metro stop. Ordered our airport taxi, answered all our questions, provided us with tooth brushes and toothpaste for free. Rooms were beautiful and clean
Great place for very decent prices. Very well located, 2min away from calle Fuencarral in Malasaña. Staff very welcoming and rooms very clean. Great shower.

This seems to be a small hotel chain. It has clean quiet room but a little small. Ok for us as we were out all day. Our hotel was centrally located and surprisingly quiet for where we were at
Excellent choice when visiting Madrid. I’ve stayed there several times, always a positive experience. Location is super prime, right in the heart of the city, in the bustling area of Sol
Endless eating and drinking options within walking distance. The staff is always nice and accommodating, the rooms are always clean and tidy
Great hotel in the centre of Madrid, could easily walk everywhere and the staff were really nice! Also a really good size room.
The hotel is in an excellent location, the room and bathroom were very spacious and clean.
But the elevator took forever at any time and the bathroom smelled awful.
The breakfast was very basic.
Good service, good environment

The breakfast buffet, that we had the chance to enjoy, were very good, can easily feed children who don't eat that much variety of food, but there's not that much of variety for the ones who enjoy a good breakfast -like myself-; I'm just not quite sure that this is the usual buffet or if it was because I made the check-in around 10am and the breakfast is open until 11am
I arrived earlier than scheduled in Madrid and have a good 14 hour waiting to do. I stayed at SHS Hotel Aeropuerto
They were so nice and kind, treated me and my family very well, the room was very nice, clean and cozy, the sheets, blankets and towels were almost too good to be true
Service to get us to and from the airport was great at a reasonable price. Rooms are a bit uncomfortable due to the fact that there are no sockets near the beds, and these are rather old. Otherwise, there's no problem
Simple and effective place to stay close to Barajas airport. Price among the cheapest in the zone. Shuttle pickup available if you call for it. Breakfast is good although not that extensive in selection
Bus stop in front of hotel takes you to a super shopping mall in 3 min and also to Central Madrid

Everything was nice except taxi which stuff from hotel ordered for us to the airport. He was driveing 180km/h through town
I already slept at Hotel Madrid II Castillas two years ago and I believe the hotel has undergone a renovation of the rooms, which I liked. The hotel and rooms are clean. The bathroom offers a sufficient number of towels
Location is super good. Facilities are a bit old, but it's sufficient and provided everything we need.
The location is near to subway. Very easy to move around and many resturant arond. Unfortunately, the hair dyer is not working, and the technician is not around. So my wife has to wait for her hair to dry before sleep
Great location right in the heart of Madrid — just steps from Gran Vía and within walking distance of major attractions. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and offers excellent value for its central position
I was especially surprised by the breakfast — I had no expectations, but it offered a wide variety of options for the price. Definitely a great way to start the day

Madrid, C/ Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada, 2 🧭 Map
The room wasn't well soundproofed, and you could hear a lot of people passing by in the hallway. It's well located, the room is small but comfortable, and the bathroom door is transparent, so you can hear everything.
Very friendly staff, excellent location, it was very clean, it has coffee and tea at the entrance for customers, I would come back again, thank you.
Amazing location, lovely staff. we loved every second of it ♥️ definitely will go back again
The room was not big, but comfortable with everything we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. Given that we booked a superior room, we had higher expectations
The entrance was through the residential building next door and to get to our room we had to pass by, what looked like the service section of the building, which was a little odd
We also had a very spacious terrace on the top floor with a seating area but the terrace walls were so high that we couldn't really see the view, which was disappointing

If I have to say something on the down side, as an architect I would suggest that a lighter color scheme be used the next time the owners redecorate the room. I will definitely repeat next time I'm in the city!
The location can't be beat: right smack in downtown Madrid, with a very polite doorman at the building's front door. Hotel staff are kind and provide good no-nonsense service
My room was right off the front desk but it was very quiet at night and I could sleep well despite being a light sleeper. The room and bathroom were clean
The place is in the middle of the city. It is close to everything. The only downside is the noise. Also there is no AC.
A great no-frills place to stay at a convenient room rate. The hotel is in a beautiful period architecture building, very clean and equipped with two modern elevators
Very friendly helpful check-in. Good room, very clean, felt safe. Internal window made it quiet though prefer external even if noisier.

Excellent central location for allowing exploration of all parts of Madrid. The rooms are clean and tidy, the AC rocks and as a Londoner I was in LOVE with the spectacular water pressure in the showers
One of the best place to be when you're in Madrid. Just a thing to add just for the future, maybe change the breakfast menu everyday like add eggs or other kinds of food but overall best place to stay
Cheap, comfortable and very close to Santiago Bernabeu. Breakfasts are small but tasty. Rooms are small, but there is enough place to sleep, and even to work :)
Clean but the rooms are very small. Friendly staff, "poor" breakfast. The location is great, 10 minutes walk to Santiago Bernabeu.
Metro station right in front of the hotel if you can’t be asked to walked. Not a bad place to call home for a couple days!
It is a buffet, but quite meager considering the choice around the hotel and in the city. So only considering the price for the breakfast, I felt the price value was not completely justified

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and making sure everything was perfect. Overall, it was a wonderful experience — cozy, charming, and full of character
Really easy to get to from the airport - a 25 min bus ride and 10 min walk, and walking distance to many central attractions. I'd definitely stay at this or another Petit Palace again, I was that impressed
I travelled for a conference and spent 3 nights here, and it was so comfortable - pillows and bed were perfect, Wifi excellent, and staff friendly. It was also a quiet room despite its central location
Lovely hotel just off the gran via and opposite gran via metro so very handy for getting around. Great breakfast, good size bathroom and comfortable bed so everything you could want for a great stay.
I loved Petit Palace Chueca for the location two step Gean Via and in front of Gran Via Metro, also for the very confortable room and excelent breakfast.
Super recomendable!

The soundproofing on the balcony windows was excellent as we could barely hear any noise from the outside, however, there was strangely a lot of loud banging noises from inside the building all night, not sure if it was the elevator or something else but it definitely disturbed our sleep
I recently stayed here and it was amazing. It’s in the perfect location walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Sol. It had 2 bunk beds and a queen bed. It was the perfect size and was very clean
Location is great for this part of Madrid, directly in the middle of a main shopping district in a pedestrian only area with a quick stroll to either the Gran Via or Puerta del Sol, lots of cafes and restaurants all around
The room was on the smaller side but had a very comfortable bed, a decent sized bathroom with a great shower, and overall was very clean but did have a musty smell on arrival and several of the charging ports did not work
We found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The furniture in the hallways really needs to be upgraded as it seems they just kept the old furniture that was there from the 1980s or something
Breakfast was great with a variety of healthy options, including fresh squeezed juices and fruits, yogurt with lots of toppings and the usual eggs, meats and cheeses, etc

And the 24/7 concierge was a huge bonus
Our room seemed to be in shade too so was perfect in hot weather. No terrace, balcony or view or light. Breakfast 7am- 11pm and dinner 8pm. Dinner is a menu of 4 choices
There is no pool or terrace as advertised on love holidays. I think when I booked it and put it room requirement , it changed to its other hotel, without the pool
Close to shopping and restaurants. Except the restaurant, the waiter there was very cold. He ignored us the entire time. The restaurant was not busy at all but we felt so unwelcome and had to leave
However, due to the location in a very busy area of town, some sound still managed to come inside. This is a price you pay for the great location. Overall, a decent hotel at a great location
Great location - right off of the popular and touristy Gran Via street. The apartment had large floor to ceiling windows which were extremely good at soundproofing

The room was small, but the common areas on the ground floor and roof were comfortable, nice places to relax, read, have a coffee, snack, or a beer or glass of wine
Many decent restaurants nearby, and the La Vapies and Chueca neighborhoods, which offer great restaurants and bars, are within walking distance
Perfect location close to Atocha train station (car rental, busses, etc). Across the street for the Botanical Garden and Park, and walking distance from other major landmarks
Perfect location. Close to train / metro station and a few blocks from reina Sofía museum. Free coffee and drink corner is definitely a bonus.
We had the most amazing stay at sleep n atocha, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind, everything was explained in clear detail and at no point was there any confusion

Great value on an excellent location. Very comfortable rooms that have been very well remodeled. Breakfast is offered, nevertheless, we chose to walk to the nearby Mercado de la Paz where Casa Dani is located
I actually lived in this hotel for a month while in Madrid. July is really hot in Madrid and the air conditioning in my room was amazing. I loved returning to my room after touring in the heat all day
No complaints about the bathroom. Staying in a hotel for a month can go either way. I am so thankful that this stay went so well. It really made my stay in the city comfortable and enjoyable
We stayed at this Hotel following a friend’s recommendation of a cousin that lives in Madrid and it was definitely worth it

The room facilities are not new, but they are OK. We chose this place specifically because it is close to the airport. We booked a free shuttle bus to the airport, but we missed it because we were 2 minutes late
Then the hotel helped us call a taxi, which took 3 minutes to get to the airport and charged us 20 euros! The meter was deliberately covered, which was a bit of a rip-off. So be sure not to miss the shuttle bus
The room is spacious, clean and sanitary. The breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of dishes. There is a free hotel airport shuttle to the airport, which is very convenient
Although there are other cheaper hotels near the airport, there are only two or three hotels that provide shuttle buses to the airport at 4:30 in the morning
Stayed one night in transit in Madrid, the room and bathroom were spacious. If you have an early flight the next day, this is the right room for you
Excellent quality price relationship, very useful for short stays in Madrid as the shuttle bus to/from airport is very efficient
