Reviews
Anyway clean and comfortable hotel.
Let’s talk about the toilet. Calling it cramped would be generous — I’ve seen airplane bathrooms with more space and dignity. You basically have to perform a yoga pose just to sit down, and if you dare to close the door, good luck moving at all. And speaking of the door… why even bother? There’s virtually no privacy. It’s the kind of setup where you hear everything, and let’s just say it’s not ideal when you’re sharing the room. The cleanliness? Questionable at best. The entire space feels neglected, with the ambiance of a badly lit train station restroom. Honestly, it felt like punishment. Smh
The room was an absolute triumph in the art of disappointment. Tiny doesn’t even begin to describe it — you open the door and immediately bump into the bed, which somehow takes up 95% of the space. No room to walk, no space to breathe, and certainly no thought put into comfort. The décor? Think bland meets budget prison cell, with lighting that screams “interrogation room” more than “relaxation.” As for the AC, it was either broken, haunted, or just staging a silent protest — either way, the room was a sauna. The window barely opened, which is probably for the best because the view was equally depressing. It’s almost impressive how quickly the vibe went from ‘budget hotel’ to ‘low-security detention facility.’ Honestly, I’ve had more restful nights on airport floors.
Location is ok if you want to go for bull fighting, otherwise it is not really close to anything.
The area is super close to the center, 35 min by walk to the retiro park, 2 min by walk to the metro and many many shops around.
The breakfast is a bit simple but still good for the price.
Overall a great stay in Madrid. Special mention to Cristian who helped us with our reservation, to the guy who works during the mornings in the reception and breakfast and to the lady who was during the weekend in the afternoon, all very nice and helpful.
Looking forward to come back soon!
