The hotel is relatively central, with the proximity to the Colosseum being a major plus for anyone looking to explore the city.
The staff are polite but could be a bit friendlier. A warm smile or a proper greeting was sometimes missing. On occasion, it felt like the staff were ignoring guests, which didn’t leave the best first impression.
The biggest downside was the beds, which definitely need replacing. They weren’t very comfortable. Also, what's with all the pillows per person? The rooms aren’t big enough to store them when not needed, and they take up unnecessary space.
The bathrooms seem a bit outdated as well. Bathtubs are no longer necessary, and simple showers would be more than sufficient, improving the overall comfort.
Overall, it's okay for a short stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

I would not stay here again, mainly because of the attitude of some of the front desk staff. The hotel’s air conditioning doesn’t work. The staff member said it hadn’t worked for 3 days when I arrived, 3 days later it wasn’t fixed and I suspect hasn’t worked for longer (see picture). These things happen, but the staff member was so dismissive of this even being an issue - didn’t inform me on arrival and when I raised it was a little short with me and expressed complete indifference to the situation.

If you are looking for a similar kind of hotel but with much better service and better breakfast, I would stay at Hotel Tritons, I stayed there 2 months prior and regret staying someone else on this visit due to this visit needing to be closer to a business requirement.

I've been here with my sister.. my expectations for the quality and cleanliness of the rooms was higher because of mark Eurostars.. but the only thing good of this Hotel is the location. The staff is very polite and gentle but u need also a clean/relaxing bed and room to have a good vacation..
This structure is too OLD and need to be restructured because the price don't justify the quality of the room.

The hotel was clean and a good distance to everything while still being quiet. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was tasty with a large variety of options. All the staff were great! Especially breakfast staff Rene, Edgar, Debra and Alam, they made the morning breakfast a happy experience to start our day :)

Rooms are good but could use some better equipment and such. The service however is absolutely great! The staff were really friendly and we were able to communicate in English easily as well as with some broken Italian. The location is also amazing because of the lots of nearby bus stops that can take you all around Rome in just minutes and the underground station being just 3 minutes away in foot. In general it's really great, 5/5

The location of this hotel is amazing! I was able to check in slightly early and had no issues during my stay here. My AC worked well and my room was perfect for a solo traveler. The breakfast is also good.

Low- tier hotel, definitely not a 4-star hotel, the smoke alarm went randomly on and off during the day, it's loud AF, couldn't sleep and work... HORRIBLE, the lift is EXTREMELY slow, breakfast wasn't good also, poor quality. Dear hotel, please fix your things and then let in the guests... Definitely not worth the price that they want you to pay.. I'm not overreacting, this is an absolutely honest review. Please don't book this hotel guys. Have a nice day

The room was on the nicer side, but the AC did not work well and the room periodically shakes because of the subway. Not enough to wake someone up but definitely noticeable. Wifi did not work at all during stay. The location however is perfect for getting too most of the tourist areas

Great hotel in an excellent location near Rome's most important sites! All the places in Rome's center are located in a walking distance from this hotel so we didn't need to use public transport during our stay. To the Termini station from the hotel is also only 15 minutes by walking.
Rooms are in good condition, AC is included and it works. Only the bathrooms are slighty outdated and could use a renovation. Hotel breakfast is good and the hotel staff is friendly and helpful!
Exe is a perfect hotel to those travelers who are looking for a hotel in Rome which is in a walking distance from the central tourist sites and want their hotel to provide the basic necessities for enjoyable stay (AC, breakfast, comfortable beds) in Rome!

We finished our stay, and for sure when we return to Rome, we will stay at Exe. Excellent location, very close to Rome Termini, easy to get to the airport, take a train to another city or rent a car nearby. At the same time, also very close to all the main tourist attractions. I had read that the Términi region was dangerous, however Exe is on a busy street, full of shops and good restaurants, there is no risk. The rooms are comfortable, wonderful bed, breakfast with many options, sure to please different tastes. Kind reception, we communicated in English and Spanish easily. It was an excellent stay
