Pullman Hotel & Convention Center

This is a 5* hotel unless you are placed here by Turkish airlines. Then you may not receive 5* treatment.

I was informed that all my meals would be included, I arrived at 22:00 and it took 45 mins to check me in. By the time I got to my room the restaurant was closed but was advised at reception I can just order room service. What they don’t tell you is that room service is not covered and you have to pay. The guy who bought the food to the room was extremely rude to me.

There was a used towel in the shower and the last persons slippers on the floor on my room.

Breakfast, I like eggs in the morning. The scrambled eggs were so watery. I asked for an omelette but was informed I’d have to pay. So I had to eat french fries for breakfast.

Lunch time. I sat down and was given a glass of water. Then a bowl of soup. No choice of menu. Then a salad. I left at this point. Luckily for the hotel I do not have any allergies. Surely guest should be provided with a menu.

I was informed at check in my check out time was 17:00. At 16:45 reception was calling me telling me I needed to come down as my transport has arrived. We don’t leave until 17:20.

All in all an awful hotel experience.

The hotel is effectively an island in a sea of rubble. The roads are too dangerous to walk anywhere from the hotel. The hotel does not provide any outside seating, even the pool is indoor.
The large reception / seating area has too few areas to sit. Some of the reception staff were very helpful but others seemed to go out of their way to be awkward.
Laundry is expensive!
Breakfast lacks protein options, just eggs and sausage.
The rooms are comfortable however the shower in over the bath and there is a significant marble surround to negotiate into and out of the bath.
The hotel doesn’t provide any documentation on sites of interest and it’s a 30 min taxi to reach the old town.
