Grayton Hotel by Blazon Hotels

I had stayed at the Grayton hotels for 7 nights with my family.
Firstly the pros:
Location is decent, room size is decent, cleanliness was okay.
Now the cons:
The room layout was extremely bad, it had no foyer, which meant the moment you step into the room, you are in front of the bed!
The water pressure in the barroom was low, which meant you spent more time getting ready. Complimentary water water bottles provided were just two tiny ones, and any extra ones will cost you more money. There were days when only one fresh towel was provided in the room, which meant you had to keep calling the hotel staff for asking for basic things. There were no carpet slippers in the room, no iron box or ironing board, no cloth line extension, and no conditioner. The hot water kettle provided was a tiny one. The hair dryer was not working properly. Water was getting collected on the floor of the bath cubicle as the drains were clogged. The carpet in the bedroom was dirty and had stains.
I had requested for a couple of plates and spoons, to my shock they sent disposable ones!!
The hotel management and the staff has the mindset of a 3 star hotel, and until they mentally upgrade, their hotel will continue to feel like a 3 star or a 2 star hotel.

Please avoid this hotel. They will charge a hefty penalty for even a small scratch to their property irrespective of who has done it.
I was charged (the price of a new TV) for a small scratch on their TV. They did not provide any evidence that we had done the damage but assumed so because we have kids :) and this was when we were leaving for the airport!
I raised this issue with the top management and asked for evidence citing that their staff is more likely to damage the TV and not us since we were hardly in the room. The management refused to even consider sharing any evidence and declared that we were at fault!
So if you want to avoid a bad holiday, I suggest you book a better hotel - you may end up paying the same price here!

Be careful before you book this Grayton hotel as I booked 4 rooms checked in from 17th Aug to 22nd Aug. When I reached at hotel the receptionist(female staff) asked to pay £150 diposit but I did not have change £10 note so I gave her £160. When I was leaving on 22nd I went to reception and asked to check out, she done all paperwork and gave me £100 deposit back. I than asked where is my other £60 as I paid £160 deposit . she told me I only paid her £100 when I checked in as I did not have enough money at that time to do £150 deposit (she told me to pay £50 when i come down ones settled in my room). I than asked why did you not asked for rest unpaid £50 despite till I am about to leave(5 days). She told me she totally forgot to ask, but why would hotel staff will ever take risk on their job and take less diposit as it Comes under terms and conditions to take full diposit.

I asked her to check camera as there was camera top of the reception. After waiting for 10 to 15 minutes receptionist said ohh our reception camera is not working since 15th. This is Very suspicious as how come just 2 days before their main camera stops working and I wasn't allowed to see if camera works or not. The receptionist has been same for my entire stay and I wasnt asked to pay the my rest of deposit too. I even had eye witnesses who were there when I paid the money but it wouldn't work as they were part of my group.

Also the AC in the Room wasn't the best, everywhere else was fine such as corridor, main reception etc but the room AC was unacceptable.

I will advice not to book this hotel and even if you do make sure you check your money as this is unacceptable.
