Moreover, the breakfast menu is very poor, with the same items being served every day. If you’re lucky, you might find something to eat, and you’ll have to eat the same things throughout your stay. If you can’t find anything to eat on the first day, I’m sorry to say you won’t find anything on the other days either, because the food options do not change. This hotel is not worthy of Dubai.
I hope the overwhelming cinnamon smell at the entrance is just for Christmas (although I don’t understand why you used it so excessively). We barely tolerated it for 8 days.
I’m writing this from a different hotel now because we had made reservations at various hotels for our long stay in Dubai to experience some variety. We’re now even more pleased with our decision to switch after staying at this hotel.
Staff inside at the gym/spa access is extremely distant. They never smile, never say hello, never say bye. Especially the man and lady which stands there the most give me an unwelcome feeling. I’ve been coming here for a while now, so this is not a one off experience.
We often go to the hotel to use the pool and have food and drink. We go very early. Last week at 9:50 we went to the pool bar to order the four smoothies we usually buy. A supervising manager called G*****t came over and told us that we could not have the smoothies because kids are not allowed in the area and that people complained. I pointed out that there were only 2 other people in the area and they were not complaining. The member of staff didn't seem to want to help and said only that he'll get in trouble if he lets us stay. This really disappointed my children who were hungry, thirsty and looking forward to their usual smoothies.
The weekend before (and the weekend before that) there had been MANY families (with young kids) in this area in the morning, all buying smoothies etc.
Right now the pool bar is empty. We would have been buying smoothies. Instead we will make alternative arrangements.
Please resolve this issue. I understand that you may not want kids around during busy periods but you are losing custom when the area is empty and could have paying customers with empty stomachs in!
Just a reminder that we do have money that we would be happy to spend. We also love this pool and hotel in general.
The most disappointing thing in the whole hotel is the valet service, they are very rude not all of them only two or three of them, I forgot to take their names and report them. They were very ignorant and rude. They only wanted to take the car and go, when I ask them about something they ignore me and got inside the car and drove away.
The staff is nice, well focused on the demand of the guests!
A special thank you to Ahmed (The Coffee connoisseur) who took such great care of us with his amazing selection of coffee and dates. The coffee shop served amazing treats and the service by Ahmed was outstanding.
Breakfast is a canteen style experience. Lots of stressed staff running around, clanging plates and knives. We didn’t enjoy the restaurants/breakfasts.
Staff are not trained to deliver 5* service. Restaurant staff were rude on our first day, and it was poorly managed when we raised it. We ended up avoiding the breakfast as much as possible.
There is construction going on but weren’t warned if this, and in addition the adult pool was closed for maintenance. We were assured it would open before we left but that didn’t happen.
Staff training and communication is probably the biggest issue with this hotel. I don’t recommend booking here. There are other hotels we stayed in with the same price and rating that were exceptional. I wouldn’t go to this hotel again.
