Barceló Al Jaddaf Hotel in Dubai

We stayed at Barceló Al Jaddaf Hotel for 5 nights, expecting a 5-star experience, but it was extremely disappointing. The rooms were not clean, and housekeeping did not clean our room unless we called them multiple times each day. Even then, the cleaning was done poorly. This did not feel like a 5-star hotel at all at best, it should be rated 1 stars.

The bathroom was another letdown the bidet was broken and not functioning properly. Toiletries were not provided unless we kept calling daily, and the same applied to drinking water. For such a hotel, this was unacceptable.

The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful throughout our stay. We had booked their advertised shuttle service, only to be made to wait for an hour before being told that the bus had already left, claiming no one else had booked it. To make it worse, this information came from their bell boy, not the front desk even though it was their responsibility to manage the booking and communicate with us.

Breakfast was another major disappointment. There were very few items, mostly just a couple of side dishes, and everything was bland and tasteless. Definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star.

Overall, our stay was frustrating and far from what was promised. Barceló Al Jaddaf Hotel does not live up to its 5 star claim it felt more like a 1 star property. I would not recommend it to anyone expecting good service, cleanliness, or value for money.
