- There’re no toothpaste and the brush in the kit that I always have in the cheaper hotels
The hotel's main priority is safety for all guests. The location is great and extremely clean with great staff. The transportation provided at a decent cost for airport services and daily excursions is great, safe, reliable and executive.
The guest services is above and beyond providing insights to the city tourism.
I cannot see myself traveling to Turkey and not staying at this location.
The hotel is surrounded by good coffee and bakery, restaurants, police and hospital establishments.
TOP HOTEL at GREAT PRICES
- Staff: The lady at the check in was very unfriendly. Nothing was prepared although we had informed the hotel via email before our arrival and received a confirmation. She said the confirmation was from the reservation team and they are not communicating with them... Then she said check in is at 2 pm although my confirmation said 12 am. She became very annoyed when I explained her that I have different information on my confirmation.
- Pool: When I asked for the pool, I was told that it is being renovated, nobody told me before, so I could not use the pool when there were 38 degrees.
- Cleaning and room: Bed was full of black hair. I felt very unfomfortable. Air conditioning is either ice cold or off. Beds are hard, pillows as well. I did not sleep well.
- Breakfast: The women preapring the eggs did not speak English. She did not even understand the basic 5 ingredients (except cheese) and prepared the wrong omlett, she also got annoyed when I tried to explain her which omlett I wanted.
- In the hotel are a lot of women who had plastic surgergies with bruises bloodshot faces. Very scary, especially for kids.
I had a terrible experience at Grand Cevahir Hotel. The service was painfully slow — from check-in to room service, everything took forever. I waited nearly an hour just to get the gentleman to take our bags , and no one seemed to care or apologize. The staff were indifferent, unresponsive, and acted like helping guests was a chore. For a hotel that claims to be high-end, the customer service was shockingly bad.Definitely would not recommend.
When we arrived, my sister and my mom asked if the swimming pool was open, and the staff told us it was under renovation. I followed up myself and was told it would stay closed until August. We specifically chose this hotel because of the pool – it was important for my niece and my mother, who has a broken leg, as we planned to spend most of our time relaxing at the hotel.
But guess what? Two days before we checked out, a large seminar group arrived… and suddenly, the pool was full of water. When I asked again, I was told: “Yes, it will be open from tomorrow.” Just like that – the renovation that supposedly needed two more months was magically done in less than a week.
We felt completely lied to. The fact that the staff could look us in the eye and give false information is unacceptable. This was a huge letdown and a waste of money, considering we booked this place for the amenities they clearly didn’t want to offer to regular guests.
Very disappointed. Not recommended if you value honesty or transparency.
The breakfast is excellent! I also liked the restaurant.
I recommend it to anyone going to the exhibition center or getting a hair transplant.
Overall it's a really nice place and if they sorted these issues it would be a 5 star review from me.
