Hotel Camposol in Benidorm

This hotel is mainly for the Spanish that are on holiday. But we really liked this hotel. They do speak a little English but I also speak a little Spanish. It is not for the young ones here, mainly the people who stay are over 55 imo. The pool area as been updated and is a lot more modern then some of the earlier photo's on here. There are no sunbeds only chairs and tables but it is quiet round the pool and perfect for a dip to cool off. The pool only got the sun from 11am to around 3pm because it is in a built up area but only a 2 minute walk to the beach and old town. Each room had its own proper air-conditioning and worked fine without the need to insert a card into the wall like other places I've stayed. Entertainment most evenings but finishes at 11pm and it's a guy on a piano playing old time song's for mainly the elderly. The food was really really good and variety on the evening meal and breakfasts are breakfasts. We were half board but had to buy either water or wine for our evening meal and there was no coffee at evening meal either..... Coffee at breakfast and juice was supplied. The rooms were small and basic but wish we'd gone extra for the balcony option. We had a lovely time here and the staff were friendly. My partner and I have just turned 60 and enjoyed this hotel but with no sunbeds a little disappointing. Other than that, good food friendly staff and a great location for the old town. If on a short break we would definitely stay here again and probably will. If for a week we'd find a hotel with sunbeds.

Looking at previous reviews they are fairly accurate. The hotel is aimed at older Spanish guest . It's not really a family hotel. But for us 2 friends in our 50s it was a perfect base. It was a very reasonable price for us . The staff are very helpful and genuinly friendly. Its location is in the old town 5 minute walk to beach and I dont think iv been in a cleaner hotel . Even though a little dated its immaculate. Our rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels.cleaners were always friendly . Really decent for the price . I would recommend for those who want a friendly central clean base to explore from .

Lovely hotel very clean they clean your room everyday plus fresh clean towels. food was very nice we went full board you get tea coffee pure fruit for drinks with the breakfast the other two meals are fresh water or wines plenty of choice of food. The pool is small and no sun beds no fridge hair dryer or kettle in the bedroom the hotel is on a hill but at the bottom there is a lovely beach

Staff were helpful and lovely, they spoke English in reception. Cleaning and bar staff had limited English. The cleaning staff brought us a hairdryer when asked with adaptor. They were kind and helpful when cleaning room. We didn't get a room with balcony but it didn't bother us as we didn't spend a lot of time there. There is a big bathroom and air conditioning. There were no tea or coffee facilities, that would be appreciated. Hotel was clean and tidy. It was modern yet old fashioned. The food was very good and was buffet style 3 times a day. The breakfast had fried options and continental. It was well priced. Pool was small and cold. Sun loungers are needed. There is no lifeguard. Stayed here for a week and it was great. Its near the major streets and the beaches which are 15 mins away walking

This is the second time staying here, lovely location lovely staff especially the man on reception very clean, don’t believe the bad reviews, yes all rooms don’t have balcony’s, there are no fridge or hairdryers and yes the rooms are small the pool is small and cold but lovely on a hot day the price we paid for this hotel was a fraction of the other hotels in the area. The breakfast is average, the evening meal there was plenty to choose from and the salad was the best always fresh, and yes I would book this hotel again.

Great hotel for a low star very clean rooms basic but comfortable pool small but sea only 10 minus walk away food good and all staff very pleasant can't fault it bit of hill to climb from beach especially if you suffer asthma but had a nice time here malcolm webster from Skegness uk
