Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII, Madrid1 / 26

Madrid, Calle Alfonso XII, 18 🧭 Map
The hotel was easy access to centre so it's nice to stay here for tourists. If you stay here for a few days, you can ask for cleaning until 2:00pm.
It was a great location-directly opposite Retiro Park, close to public transportation and a 20 minute walk to Plaza Mayor.
The location is amazing, close to great restaurants, shopping and public transportation.
This hotel is convenient for shopping
Clean, modern interior with a charming historical facade. Great location right next to an entrance of Retiro Park. Noise insulating balcony doors/windows are nice, though with the balcony closed the room does get stuffy.
The property is very well located, with many dining options nearby and just in front of El Retiro. Unfortunately it does not have air conditioning and the street is some noisy

We had a wonderful stay! The service was exceptional—staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious variety of fresh options that catered to all tastes. This hotel is incredibly kid-friendly, Highly recommend for families looking for a stress-free and enjoyable stay!
Beautiful hotel, historic, quiet, elegant and the most delightful, helpful staff. Would happily return again. The atmosphere is very quiet though you are close to all Madrid has to offer. Nice place to get our internal clocks adjusted our first day in Spain.
An absolutely beautiful hotel, very well located in a great, walkable neighborhood. The hotel makes you feel as if you are staying at the home of your very (very) rich grandmother. It feels more like a swanky, elegant private club or extraordinary private residence than it does a hotel. The staff is top notch as is the breakfast. I'd stay here anytime. A++++
Absolutely fantastic! The hotel is gorgeous with elegantly decorated salons and the rooms comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning for five days and the service was professional and nothing but exceptional. The concierge and front desk were welcoming and so attentive that set the tone for a lovely long stay. They surprised us with a Roscon one evening for “Reyes” and it was absolutely delicious...
The Santo Mauro is a beautifully restored and well-maintained palace with each room and suite donning a unique interior design. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by name by each department in which you interact reflecting the boutique feel of this lovely hotel. I was lucky to stay over New Years and definitely felt that my loyalty to the brand mattered. A lovely bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne...

Axel Hotel Madrid – Adults Only, Madrid1 / 33

Madrid, Atocha 49 🧭 Map
Nice rooms, the rooftop pool area and Sky Bar are a huge plus! Axel could do better with the mattresses which are not the most comfortable. The in-room fridge is packed to capacity with chargeable consumable food and beverage items. You have to remove these products to use the fridge. Half the amount of products would be better. That said, I would stay at the Madrid location again.
Pros: great location, rooftop bar and pool and a welcome drink! I didn’t have the breakfast but that looked like a great deal as well. The rooms are beautifully decorated 10/10 for decor. Location is great too!! The staff was really kind! Great view from rooftop Cons: where this hotel misses is functionality and feel for me. The corridors to get to your room feels like a haunted house. There are steps...
Overall a cool place. However, very small rooms, unique choice of glass doors for bathroom, and a bit noisy. The front desk was very helpful, very nice, except after making a mistake and causing us to have to move luggage from one room to another room, and waiting in hot hallways, we didn't get any apology. Perhaps better for younger people and less luggage.
Good hotel, great location. Staff were also very helpful and welcoming. Really nice to stay in a hotel without children. Only issues are the sheets are quite old and the pool wasn’t available during our stay.
This hotel is for people of non-traditional orientation. Consider this when traveling. Everything else is super great.
Lovely hotel with great location. Thank all the lovely stuff members for your very heart-warming service! We appreciated! See you next time.
the hotel is located very conveniently in the center, within walking distance of 3-4 metro stations. In addition, from the hotel you can walk to almost all the main attractions of Madrid a laconic buffet that includes a sufficient selection of dishes and breakfast options: hot dishes, fruits, delicious sandwiches, fresh bread, 5 types of juices, muesli and amazing hot chocolate with cinnamon and burnt...

Recently stayed here my partner and had such a great stay! Reception was so incredibly nice and helpful. The cleaning staff i interacted with was also so nice and kind. The rooms were what you see in pictures and the sheets And pillows were very comfortable. Everything was incredibly clean. The AC worked great. Our room was on the interior side of the hotel so it was really quiet and comfortable ...
Was a good location. Not far from Sol. Hotel was nice and clean. Room is little small. But it’s totally fine.
Everything very good, room with an interior patio, which is appreciated for the tranquility, even though it doesn't have much light. Very good breakfast and comfortable beds. You can not ask for more
Great location. Room was on the smaller side but efficient. We had room for our bags and to walk around. The bathroom was a very decent size. A/C. Centrally located to local, public transportation, park garage, restaurants, shopping, and the sights. We walked to the sights with ease. The food was great. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh squeezed juices, hot options too, fruit, meat, cheeses...
We stayed for 3 nights. The front desk was super friendly and helpful on suggestions. The hotel lobby was modern and really nice. The rooms were clean and had great organizational racks for your luggage. The beds were a bit hard but overall a good stay and location was great if you want to be in the heart of downtown Madrid. It seemed slightly over priced/over hyped but that may just be the prices...
Great location and lovely lobby! But rooms are pretty basic and lack thoughtfulness for the prices you pay. There are limited hooks, i think no water provided, and tiny side tables. The bed could be better and bathrooms seem to be part of an older hotel with some new retrofits. The shower screen is short so the floor gets wet each time. The double glaze windows are not sealed well in my room and it...

Great family vacation in Madrid The staff was very friendly and super helpful. My daughter has a sprained knee and when she asked for some ice for her hot/cold water bottle they gave her a kettle and a bag of ice. Location is perfect. Could walk everywhere needed to see the sights or have something to eat. Pedestrian street right outside with a small walk to catch an uber or taxi. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Charming near attractions Charming hotel in a great location. Close to main attractions. Quiet at night. Breakfast buffet was classy & delicious. Staff were friendly & helpful
Great hotel. Perfect location. Amazing staff. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Great bang for your buck. And the breakfast is incredible.
We will be back We have been coming to Hotel Francisco for the last 6 years at least once/twice per year. It’s our home away from home when we are in Madrid. Great decor and staff.
When we booked this hotel there were limited reviews, so we were a bit nervous. We picked the hotel largely because of the location and price. Because of the limited reviews, we were a bit skeptical. But OMG.. We were blown away. Our room on the 6th floor had a terrace with a retractable awning overlooking the beautiful city. And a ceiling fan in the room for the hot summer days. Great property, very well located and incredible staff
So under-rated its a hidden gem, just a stone throw away from Retiro Park. A 15 mins liesure walk to Atocha Station and 20 to 25mins walk to Zara and Mango Shops and Corte Ingles plus museums. Less crowded area compared to staying at Gran Via or places near Purta del Sol
The best thing of this hotel it’s the location, just opposite to one of the most beautiful parks in the world Parque del Retiro, the hotel is nice but not luxurious, the spa area is depressing, there is no valet to help you with your luggage and quality of towels and bed linen should be better for the price they charge. Friendly welcome and efficient check in. Hotel’s lobby and bar area make good first impression Location perfect for visiting the big 3 galleries and convenient for eating out in the Salamanca district. A really nice base in the Salamanca district of the city. Ready access to the underground system makes exploring Madrid's sights straightforward. Surroundings are opulent, rooms comfortable and staff are both helpful and friendly. Our only reservation was poor sound proofing between adjoining rooms.
My husband and I visited Madrid in early March, our stay at Unico was exceptional. The location is perfect, close to Retiro and right in the heart of Salamanca with trendy shops, restaurants, mercados and metro access. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Great location close to great shopping and dinning. From arrival thru checkout all hotel staff was very attentive. Always using our names. Any special request was attended swiftly.
This is an elegant and cozy hotel with excellent service of the staff! Since the moment you get in you feel like a family! Elena and Paula were very helpful but also the whole team. This hotel is located in the best area of Madrid with lots of restaurants and beautiful shops. This is the fourth time I have been in this hotel and would definitely recommend and come back!
This is a great hotel. Terrific location, friendly/helpful staff with rooms that have obviously been renovated. The breakfast is excellent. The first day of our stay the hotel arranged for 90 minute TukTuk tour of the city. It was a great way to get a quick overview of the city. The hotel also suggested some great restaurants. Quality service impeccably high level of attentio. It was truly wonderful the hotel and its staff are nothing short of perfect. Attention to every detail excellent.
Our favorite hotel in Europe. Great ambiance and a wonderful staff (always eager to help) in a unique hotel - oldest in Madrid - all combine to make for a wonderful experience.
Great hotel within walking distance of plenty of attractions. Didn’t have to use transportation during entire stay, except for coming in from airport. Concierge and other staff very friendly and helpful.
Amazong Hotel & service outstanding Our stay was perfect, Prince was very welcoming & the whole staff couldn't do more for us - booking restaurants, organising trips, catering to all our needs - I didnt think Hotels existed like these any more but they do! Restaurant food outstanding & reasonably priced.
Lovely, comfortable, friendly, helpful hotel. Very quiet room (double-paned glass) for great sleeping. Location makes walking to museums and many neighborhoods and restaurants easy. On a narrow side street so mainly pedestrian traffic. lnteresting neighborhood with nice shops and tapas bars.
Gran Hotel Inglés is incredible cozy, quiet, "home like", very suitable for sole work or small meetings, or for a luxury low key experience in the center. Everything was on point, either if we talk about the room, services, location of the hotel or the kindness of the staff, all of them were a big plus for our experience in Madrid. Thank you for your hospitality!
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We were here for 5D4N. The service was excellent. Every time we meet a staff we were warmly greeted. Beautiful five star boutique hotel in the Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid. Exceptional service.
This is located in a very quiet, wealthy neighborhood. The surrounding area is worth a walk, with supermarkets and coffee bakeries, which are not very conspicuous. The room is very beautifully designed, with Chinese elements in the wallpaper and decorations, floor-to-ceiling windows with balconies, clean rooms, high-quality bedding, comfortable and smooth to sleep. The sheets are changed every day...
The two rooms are connected, the area is large enough, but the sound insulation is indeed quite lacking. I thought it was a very old hotel, but it turned out to be relatively new. The sound insulation is a bit unreasonable. The decoration is very beautiful and tasteful. There are not many choices for breakfast, but it is delicious

Good location, chic hotel Good location. Mostly clean. My room bathroom had a little smell about it. Tidy though. Has everything you need but pretty basic. Chic style which is nice and reception/breakfast area are nicer than rooms. Good for exploring madrid as somewhere to stop

Very good hotel and location Very pleased with our stay. Selected a junior suite so probably better than standard rooms. Would come back again.
Great location, lovely room, very helpful staff. Couldn’t fault it.
Very well located hotel, very nice view from the room. Spacious and clean room.
Modern, upscale, centrally located Modern, centrally located, upscale. On the busy Gran Via but I didn’t have any issue with noise though my room was on the Gran Via. Would recommend.
For a 5 star hotel charging a lot of money, I would expect a different kind of service. Example, buffet Breakfast is 34 euros and the selection of food and beverages is the one you would find in a 3 star. I will not stay at this hotel again. I stayed one night, which was plenty. The main issue with this hotel is that the walls are extremely thin. I could hear all of my neighbors, even though they were speaking in regular conversational voices. Additionally, the door handles are very loose, resulting in me feeling like my belongings were not that safe inside my room.
We love the room, it’s spacious even for 3. The open view is comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. The Living Room is particularly useful, we had a cheese and wine dinner party there, some small plates and disposable cutleries are available upon request.
The hotel is in a great location, near the palace, and across the street is a shopping mall and transportation hub, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. The hotel is a renovation of an old building, so the facilities are not so modern, but they are sufficient. There is just no kettle, and you need to pay a deposit to the front desk. The surprise is that the room we booked has a balcony...
They were very accommodating even though we checked in late at night. The room was simple but had a comfortable atmosphere.
The room in the photos looks larger than it actually is. The hotel is across from a metro station from which you can get to certain shopping areas. The area looks a bit lonely at night but is very quiet and busy during the day. The staff was very friendly and I would return for the price/quality ratio.
The room facilities are average, the service is average, there is a supermarket nearby, you need to take the subway to the shopping street, it's a bit far to walk, it's average, the price/performance ratio is not very high,
