The location is a bit off. 15-30km drive on average for a one way trip to Dubai Marina or Dubai Mall. Some of roads that lead to the hotel have traffic. Also the service feels “forced”. Your clear NO I’ll handle it myself even for smallest things is not immediately clear for the service personal. They would just force their help just to get a tip from you.

Deira is north of downtown Dubai which means that the hotel is a bit farther from the typical tourist things but that it has a great view of downtown. It seems to be an area that hosts people who would stay for a convention rather than for tourist reasons.
