I had a great stay overall – the staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and everything was well organized. However, the only downside was the bed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t comfortable at all, which affected my sleep. If the beds were improved, this would’ve been a perfect experience. Still, I appreciate the hospitality and everything else was really good

The location is very near to the hirschgarten train station and also can walk to the Biergarten. Room is clean and love the complimentary breakfast.

The room is not big, but it is clean and tidy. The front desk staff is quite enthusiastic and the breakfast is not bad. The bar on the first floor is particularly worth mentioning. The hotel is very convenient for transportation. It is only 100 meters from the subway station. The hotel also has a rich breakfast. There are supermarkets and DM around, as well as restaurants. It is recommended to stay here when you come to Munich. There is a direct train to the airport.

Third time staying here for the Munich Bierfest, great hotel. Really clean and friendly, breakfast is good, and it's perfectly placed for access to the central station, the Bierfest and the old town. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We arrived in Munich at 10AM, after being on a bus for 6 hours. I felt dirty and was very grumpy because of it. I told my husband upon arriving that it looks clean but doesn't feel clean and he laughed because it was so true. Everything is so retro and old feeling. Old building but big rooms, excellent service and great breakfast. The person who checked us in was super nice and let us change rooms when ours smelled of cigarettes. There is no air condition in the room. That is a big minus, because it was hot and couldn't sleep till 23:00 when the temperature outside droped and had to have the windows fully opened the whole night. Very nice place, away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. But every major place you need to visit is easily accessible by the Munich transit system.

The hotel’s accessibility was excellent — just a minute’s walk from tram and metro stations, making it very convenient for getting around the city. It was obvious that they didn’t clean the toilet bowl. We could see some orange stain at the bottom of the bowl. There was also awful pee smell in the bathroom. The breakfast was nice. Many options, fresh ingredients. However somebody there should adjust the pancake machine. Some parts of my pancakes were uncooked

The hotel is close to a subway station and several bus stops. The room and bathroom are large and clean.

Another stay in this hotel and still well recommended. Location is great since it is next to the U-Bahn.

A decent budget hotel. The only downside is that it only has air conditioning, no heating, and turning it on makes noise and the air is dry.

The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The online pics did not reflect the esthetic of the hotel. We stayed during Oktoberfest and the hotel was clean and quiet.

We had an amazing stay at this great hotel. Perfect location, comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a great breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay here in December 2023. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. Location is good, very close to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Our room was on the first floor directly above the hotel entrance, and we got quite a lot of street noise. Staff were friendly and efficient, overall a very pleasant stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Alpen Hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. The rooms are a great size, breakfast was delicious, and the interior of the hotel is fresh and modern. It was the perfect stay! We hope we can return in the future.

Great hotel, beautiful old building, and even the 1p room was small but very nice. However, the location is a bit dodgy (many shisha lounges and such). I didnt feel comfortable in the evening as a woman alone. Thats the only reason i would book a different hotel next time.

We enjoyed a superb stay at the Alpen Hotel München recently. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The rest of the hotel facilities were amazing and the breakfast this morning extremely delicious. The hotel staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Get to this hotel if you want to be in a quiet nice residential suburb. Service is good and the restaurant is reputed to be excellent. Very luxurious feel overall but especially the breakfast. (Vast majority of hotels in Munich that you will find on the usual sites will be near the train station which is not a bad area now, but used to be run down.)

Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the English Garden and public transportation. The family room was very nice with the wardrobe providing some privacy from the kids bed. Rooms are a bit dated but for us that added to the charm. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Stopped here for a nice business lunch. They have a lovely beer garden with massive trees. Daily selection of lunch menus as well as choosing from a la carte. I had the Backhendl which was very nice. Might be also a nice spot for dinner and sleeping.

Budget hotels. Carry your own water bottle and refill from the taps or buy one and refill for the rest of the trip. Very close to railway station. Request for a phone in your room, it should be there by default but sometimes may not be there.

A beautiful hotel, near the center. They only clean ever 2 days, this was fine. There were a few dirty spots visible, if your room is on the bussy side of the street you can hear the cars, me personally didn't bother this. The shampoo and soap were amazing! I do recommend this hotel not only for single people but also for family traveling with 2 kids

Room was spacious, clean and a 7 min walk to either the tram or the bus stop. Little fridge added was very convenient and useful. Staff was not particularly friendly but did their job nonetheless. We had to insist about getting the free drink that ******* offered to us for being gold members. Check out time at noon was great and rare to see anymore.

Five minute walk to the S8 Johanneskirchen station, so I'd rate it semi convenient to the city, very convenient to the airport. Nice hotel but quite a distance to Munich Centre. The S8 S-Bahn is right behind the hotel and it can be quite noise when a freight train goes past. Good value but the location is an issue.

Only downside was that they didn’t have any medicine or anything to provide for an emergency or a simple headache in the middle of the night.
